Of course. You guys consistently underrate the sports where there is time to think. Boxing is mentally grueling, especially when you are getting your face smashed in, but at its base it is all reaction. Golfers sit and think and think and think and think about what to do for their next .5 seconds of action time, and

Professional golf, not the shit that Trump does every weekend or I try to do whenever I can find a few bucks to go on the local muni course.

At first I thought this would be dumb. Because who puts th effort into the glottal stop required to properly pronounce “Kirk Cousins.”

(1) I don’t know how Forbes does these team evaluations, so I’m not going to say they’re “wrong”, but you can look at the last ten years of NBA team sales and find that in that year, Forbes’ value was just about always significantly below the actual sale price.

This being Texas, what are the rules here? He can basically go off leash, find the assholes who did this and put them down?

Soooo, they broke into a millionaires house......looked past the thousands of dollars in jewelry and high end electronics which could easily be exchanged for cash on the straight or black markets with no risky ransom scheme......and stole the dog.

It doesn’t matter how much you hate the Cowboys, YOU JUST DON’T FUCK WITH A MAN’S DOG.

Nothing inspires confidence quite like a billionaire liquidating assets.

I disagree. LeBron did that for himself and his own legacy, which he undoubtedly helped. Sure, he made Dan Gilbert some money and some prestige, but being willing to trade away the success LeBron has had in Cleveland is cutting off your nose to spite your face. Fuck Gilbert, but LeBron should be, and is, looking out

Have you looked at any of the details of that night? There are texts from the ex-gf to her friend asking her to corroborate her lie with the cops.. there are several witness statements (that dont know him or her) that back up his version of the story, not hers. Im not defending his stupid behavior in other places..

Well the accuser lost all credibility when the texts she sent her friend asking her to lie to the police about the incident came to light. So the unprovable accusations, at least in the incident she filed a report for, have been proven false.

Fake accusations happen every single day. There are women (and men, for that matter) who try to get the court system to help argue their disagreements. As a defense attorney, I see this type of abuse happen frequently with the average citizen. Throw in the possibility of a pay day, and it can get worse. Never

He almost certainly didn’t do it, so are you talking about the woman? Or is he so sneaky that he gets witnesses (male and female) to lie for him?

Unprovable, as in, a couple that was also in the car where the alleged incident took place completely contradicted the account of the alleged victim. So unprovable as in, almost certainly didn’t happen.

The best part of all this is that in the midst of building this stupid argument, they actually highlight how a situation like this should be handled, inadvertently pointing out the reason that their entire “But what about blackmail?” argument is stupid:

We can, and should, acknowledge that making it to a Grand Slam final at the age of 37 while also dealing with chronic illness is both incredible and completely unprecedented, while also acknowledging that Venus got her ass handed to her today. It doesn’t have to be an either or scenario.

The “no losers today” line is a rebuke of people acting like making it to the Wimbledon Finals isn’t an amazing accomplishment on its own. There are excellent players that only make it to 1 or 2 major finals in their career. Yet some people are coming up with the “hot taek” of Serena no longer has it and needs to

“Unexpected result” is the definition of an upset, and the betting line is the definition of measuring “expectation.”

this piece feels like a reach. those tweets are pretty vanilla, but not offensive. and i, at least, do not seem them as infantilizing. more a tip of the hat to a veteran who lost bad. are you just looking for something to be angry about?
