I’m really sensitive to onions and just putting on sunglasses is a big improvement for me when I am chopping/dicing. My taught me this trick almost 30 years ago and it still checks out.

I don’t NEED homemade poppy seed dressing but it was a cool touch especially when entertaining. We tried growing them one year before I got clean to make centerpieces for our wedding (we REALLY loved people to know we did drugs lol) and had no success. I have a brown thumb. 

I used to make my own but I can’t get quality poppy seeds anymore, they all taste like black pepper and garlic. I did some research and there was a gov’t crackdown on people making poppy tea users and now seeds have to be washed which leads to the funky flavor. Land of the free they said.
