This is what worked (for me at least): superfeet inserts + walking for exercise (instead of trying to jog) + sugarfree diet (and associated 10 pound weight loss) + 6 months = no more foot pain. It was really bad, too. Completely better now.

We gave our daughter my mom's maiden name - keeps a family connection, makes a small nod to the matriarchy (if you don't think too much about that name coming from her father). We're not married so we all three have different last names.
