The headline picture is from an episode of the sitcom Parks & Recreation.

It's child size because it is the size of a child.

Yeah, that is the big disappointment for me too. I understand that the book as it is would be difficult to film, but I was really looking forward to some out of the box thinking on the screenplay.

Yes....with a lava fountain in the lobby.

This is an awesome selection of cosplay here! I will never grow tired of that Joker cosplayer whom I previously saw in pics from SDCC. He's just so perfect and spot on. Love Dark Helmet and Family Guy Star Wars! It's nice to seem some new takes and twists on characters rather than just 50 slave Leias again.

It does need a theme hotel. One where you can choose a dark side room if you feel so inclined.

Captain Malcolm Reynolds (cat version) approves of this Firefly special.

True but Dawson was a selfish jerk who only cried for his own problems. Pacey Bishop doesn't want Dawson's douchey tears! (I may, still, to this day, all these years later, harbor ill will towards Dawson.)

It was definitely charming and I agree that Marilyn was the most interesting of the bunch. I couldn't quite put my finger on what was missing and why I didn't love it and you've definitely nailed why. There was no real sense of urgency around. The "monsters" were charming and the neighbors annoying, so why care if

I only cry manly Winchester tears.

I had a cat years ago who would steal my one of my roommate's jewelry and hide it under the couch. She was getting really mad at me and our other roommate denying taking her stuff until we did a big spring cleaning one day. He stole her stuff again after she put them back.

As soon as Broyles came on screen last night I was prepping for his death by the end of the episode. It very much took me by surprise that it was Etta instead. On one hand, I'm happy that the writers will go there, on the other it was a devastating moment.

I NEED one. Like for reals or I'll die.

Dawn of the Dead is a movie I love but cannot watch. If I do watch, you have to stay with me for the 48 hours that I won't sleep. Most of which is due to that scene. Just waiting for Roger to reanimate.

Oh thank you! This was lovely to read. :D

Oh yeah, I got what he was going for, I just hated it. I haven't read The Corrections, but now I feel that I sort of don't need to....?

Hmmmm I'm pretty cautious about trying him again but if the library has it, maybe I'll throw it in the queue.

I'm super glad it was one of my library books and not a purchase. It mostly left me feeling like I want to slap him if I ever meet him.

This is how I felt reading "Freedom" by Jonathan Franzen last year. I hated every single character and loathed the plot but I felt like I needed to get through it because Lit Nerds are always all over him and now I'm just mystified as to why people seem to love him so much. I can't imagine trying it, or another of his

13 year old me read that twice in a row. I locked myself in my room with my standard marathon rations of Dr. Pepper and Pringles for a whole summer.
