Being in a relationship where one of us is on one end of the spectrum (lots of informal parental assistance, no student loans) and one is on the other end (responsible for supporting a parent, lots of student loans) has been extremely interesting. It’s sometimes a challenge to see each others motivations for certain…
My dad always says no too! Even when my company was paying for my plan — I just expensed my portion & pocketed the $90 each month because he didn’t want it. Dads are funny.
This was the exact argument I made to my conservative friends when I lived in the South. They had no perspective for the things that were just part of their childhood were huge privileges that not everyone was afforded. They were completely incapable of making the connection between their relative success today & the…
Hmm... I don’t use a fitbit but I do wear a polar heart rate monitor when I exercise and I’ve earned roughly 12 points for an hour on the elliptical... granted, I was going HARD at it for that whole hour, but maybe the 20 points is closer than you think!
Portion control is probably the biggest factor in WW so measuring that out probably goes a long way!
I just texted my friend “Come on, WW, you have Oprah money! Be better!”
I’m doing WW and totally agree with you. I let loose on thanksgiving and ate what I wanted, responsibly.
WW totally let's you eat the pie, but makes you accountable for serving size. If you plan for it, you can have anything you want.
I baked a lot of cupcakes my junior year of college. Looking back on it, I was clearly anxious about things but didn't know how to process it. Luckily I lived with 7 dudes who happily scarfed down dozens and dozens of funfetti cupcakes I baked that semester.
I put my iPad in a ziploc bag & use my boobs as an iPad rest, since those suckers never fit under the water anyway.
Awesome, thank you! I am in the market for the perfect deep winter red & also maybe some super dark and dramatic to try out on weekends.
7th grade. I heard through the grapevine that my math teacher made a “joke” about how nice & quiet the class was when me & my BFF were out for our pull out class. The next day I came into class, raised my hand, & told him that I didn’t appreciate him talking badly about us when we weren’t there to defend ourselves.…
This is everything that I needed today so thank you! I'm debating a trip to Sephora for a little retail (with gift card!) therapy & then I will be looking up ChiChi when I get home. I am all about the blue based reds.
I have started to consider Botox as I have noticed the lines across my forehead are becoming increasingly deep. I’ve probably been persuaded against it now — you are a beautiful woman, Jane, but those gifs have frightened me away!
What the fuck is Fox Business Network? Why are republicans so eager to put their drivel on channels that young people don’t care about, & definitely don’t subscribe to?
Ok so I just read the Kevin Smith story & immediately came to comment that it actually brought a tear to my eye. I swear I’m not usually such a sap, but he seemed so genuine in the description of that interaction. I wish more people, not even celebrities, would have that “never pull this entitled bullshit” attitude.…
Law & Order degrees should totally be legitimate. Between that & my behavioral psych degree I earned from watching Criminal Minds, I could be an excellent litigator.
I have this brush (or another mac eyeshadow blending brush that is very nearly identical but with black hairs) and it’s held up since I was in high school 10+ years ago. Plus as I mentioned on another Millihelen thread, I am Very Gross and basically never wash my brushes. So you know this one is extra good.
Feeling pretty good about my dragon hoard of BB&B coupons right about now though. I steal them out of the trash can in my apartment building because I am a crazy person.
