Dr Bombay was one of the highlights of that show.
Dr Bombay was one of the highlights of that show.
Given that he is the biggest curmudgeon in American today, its because he's not telling.
Its like the Peoples Front of Judea / Judean Peoples Front
I spent a good deal of my childhood in Columbia Presbyterian hospital in NYC including a long stretch one summer. My mother and sister used to read me a chapter each day of Wind in the Willows during that summer stay and for one hour of that day, I was transported away from the childrens' ward to the magic of Mole,…
If you come to my house during Christmas, my sister and I do a great rendition of this tune ;)
YAY!! Some one else loves this musical! Its a family tradition in our house to sit and watch several versions of the Christmas Carol, and we always end the marathon with this version. "I like life..Life likes me.."
The racist overtones of Holiday Inn are a bit off setting though
I love the songs from Mr. Magoo's Christmas carol and we had an old VHS tape that we used to show the kids. We still sing about "razzleberry dressing".
Thank you for mentioning Ezra Jack Keats’ "The Snowy Day'. That was a childhood favorite of mine and then my kids. And The Snowman—we first saw that as a special on PBS and when "Walking in the Air" starts playing with Peter Ault's vocals, I pretty much tear up over how amazingly beautiful it is
Live's "Lighting Crashes" will always remind me of my son's birth and my father in law's passing within days of each other. It came on the radio as we were bringing him home from the hospital, one of those moments that the music playing matched the circumstances in an eerie way.
I still can't listen to Blackstar without weeping openly, for his passing and how the world basically fell apart in the wake of his death…
WHERE IS MY BAY AREA DATE! I owe one to drummer boy aka my husband
I had a grad school roomie that was hooked on Days and I'd watch just to see Stefano, because Joseph Mascolo played him so over the top, you could just tell he was enjoying eating that scenery. RIP
I love Brian Froud's illustrations. I've never seen this book but I own the Faeries one.
My husband is a huge prog fan and loves ELP and Crimson. To say he was gutted by this news is an understatement.
Yup. Lost the original Rocket Man, John Glenn as well. To quote the Stranglers, no more heroes anymore..
I think we found the next Eurovision winner…
Cause I wanna FUNK you like an animal!
You noticed that too? She was a great person! But let me tell you how much her husband did instead..
I think what bothers me in this age of "media cooking" is that people overcomplicate every simple dish. It puts more people off cooking than I think it helps in my opinion. They get so focused on the tips that they miss the joy and heart of the cooking.
