Thank you for my laugh this morning. My mom was a professional cook and I find it rather funny that people are obsessing about the minutiae of cooking something that she taught me to make at age 4. Its goddam scrambled eggs for f-sake!

If you are Lutheran, the one song that still survives is a Mighty Fortress is our God, whose tune was allegedly a popular drinking song at the time.
Rob Paravonian, did a too long bit on how Pachabel's Canon in D is found in many modern songs. There really is a limited amount of chord progressions, which is why if you play in a cover band for any amount of time, after a while, picking up new material is dead easy.
Every time I hear Michael Bey mentioned, all I can see is "MICHAEL BEY: EXPLOSIONS!!" https://youtu.be/v7ssUivM-eM
With Corpse cake a close second.
I'm glad I'm not the only person who feels this way. Never got the whole appeal of Cirque du Soleil.
I remember having a furious argument with one of my cousins when we were young pups about who was better: Batman or Green Hornet. I'm pretty sure my mom just ended it by telling us to go out and get some fresh air. But many good memories of watching those superhero shows on TV—RIP Van Williams
https://www.youtube.com/wat…. :) love this music
I'm going to do a plug for "History Honeys". Interesting facts about history in a funny informative way. Their podcast about the origins of the Amish aka Anabaptists was great and way more fun than you'd imagine.
Gojira is a much darker film and really visually wonderful in many scenes. My main gripe with the Burr version is that the editing was awful — the flow of the movie is choppy for the addition of the scenes with Burr. And I agree with cigarette, the score is great—the Godzilla theme is my ring tone on my phone.
He was, which is why that relationship ended soon after. He also had pretty atrocious tastes in music, which was a deal breaker for me.
https://www.youtube.com/wat…. Thank you for reminding me of this . Still gives me chills. Tina's vocals against the "Wall of Sound"…my goodness.
Wanted. One large airplane hanger to house Steven Patrick Morrissey's ego. Must be expandable
My college friend Penny was into AC/DC and she brought the "Dirty Deeds" album to a informal drinking party in our dorm room. My boyfriend at the time said the scariest thing he ever experienced was walking into a room of drunk rowdy women singing "WE'VE GOT THE BIGGEST BALLS OF THEM ALL" at the top of their lungs. …
The lyrics are amazingly sad considering the melody.
I'm not a big Springsteen fan, but damn every time I hear that song, I just remember Vin Scelsa on WNEW-FM in NYC playing that after announcing John Lennon's death. Its permanently associated with that event in my mind.
My son and I were discussing this on our commute the other day, Merry Clayton's vocals on that song and Clare Torry's on "Big Gig in the Sky" are not of this planet. They just rip right down your ear drums into the darkest depths of your musical soul.
"The feeling has gone only you and I
It means nothing to me
This means nothing to me
Oh, Vienna!!"
Not a fan, but the music is solid in composition and production .I can respect them for that.
That chord progression in "Hey Ya" is just fucking brilliant and catchy. If it comes on the radio while I'm driving those windows are coming down, the sounds going up and yes, you'll get to see some serious white girl moves at the next stop light.
