Am I the only one who thinks that Dan Brown's "novels" are poorly written and have more plot holes than your average slice of swiss cheese? Obviously not, AVClub!

Hell, the internet usually makes me cry on a daily basis for one reason or another.

Quorn actually makes some great products. I worry about them nutritionally—that's where some voice concerns. But taste-wise, you can't beat them for a meat sub. Its hard to get the beef subs here in my corner of the world, but I buy their chicken-less items frequently.

My mom made a kick ass chili. First time one of my brother in law's came for dinner, she served it. I guess his mom made a much milder version, because he sat through the dinner bright red in the face but he loved it, and told my sister she needed to get the recipe.

Parenting. You are doing it right.

A few friends and I were once have a discussion about movies that traumatized us as kids. I was Ok with Abbot and Costello, but damn that banshee from Darby O'Gill and the Little People…

My childhood was filled with Charles Addams cartoons, Grimms Fairy tales and yes, Krampus. I honestly remember being fascinated with them all. Wait, no, Krampus scared the shit out of me. Yay German Nanas!

And Viva Variety—which had the best game shows. Plant or Animal was a personal favorite.

Another film I'd love to hear someone found a copy of is "London after Midnight". Its a bit of a holy grail in the horror film history, and from what I've heard, only a few scenes and some stills remain of Lon Chaney's performance

Probably—and we bought it from the good humour man ;)

You look at something like 1915s Golem fragments or a good bulk of Lon Chaney's career and the loss of those films, just makes me cry.

Kevin Meaney was one of those comedians who got quoted in our household esp. when we saw something my mother in law would have objected to "That's not right"!! (she actually also said "hopped up on drugs" frequently, which always made us laugh..). Sad to see him leave this mortal stage.

If the calls that we had to answer at the help desk today about us "blocking the internet" are any indication, the answer was NO.

Don't you know its because someone typed Google into Google?

One of my good friends married a guy who bore a striking resemblance to Mr. Bronson, to the point where someone once passed her desk and they asked her, "Why do you have a photo of Charles Bronson on your desk?"

I've always liked Bass' posters because of their minimalism and graphic boldness. I also like the late 20s and early 30s European posters in terms of graphic design such as this one for 'M" http://www.nitehawkcinema.c…

For NY, that only applies to the Yankees. And I would add SF to your list as well.

As a long suffering Mets fan, I can only imagine how your typical Cubs fan feels each season. Last year when both teams made the post-season, I was sure it was a sign of the Apocalypse. One of the joys of being a Cubs or Mets fan, is that when they do well, its an affirmation that curses can be overcome or things

Well, I'm in agreement with Dylan. I really don't care that he won a Nobel prize. So there.

I recently watched "Where No Man Has Gone Before" and realized that in the original pilot episodes, women wore outfits similar to the men. It wasn't until later on that the women went to the impractical mini dresses..
