And that kind of thing can’t be hand-waved away with appeals to his age, because that shit isn’t right at any age, no matter what.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the apologist mouthpiece for the Trump administration, is being hit with an ethics complaint…
Sounds pretty reasonable. If you’re a bank teller and use your access and knowledge to go rob a different bank, should you be allowed to go work at a bank again? Probably not. At the very least a bank might be averse to hiring you and you’ll face difficulty getting back into that profession.
It would be easier to consider the matter settled or redeemed if we gave appropriate sentences for rape.
I’m okay with serious violent criminals being unable to continue to pursue the same line of work they used to victimize someone. Or at least for a time period longer than a couple of years. Football gave him access, and he proved himself to be unfit to handle that access when he raped that girl. He shouldn’t be able…
I can’t say I feel bad that a guy convicted of rape isn’t being allowed to play college football. He was tried as a juvenile, which alone was pretty damn generous, his records will be sealed and won’t show on a basic background check, and he’s been attending college with no problem.
When it comes to rape I don’t personally care about skin, rape is rape and I think it’s just shy of murder, and in some ways ghastly worse. I have stopped associating with 2 men I’d learned raped someone. They have a right to employment, but I wouldn’t ever treat them like ‘anyone else’ because they’d served time.
Doesn’t Mike Vick now have a job on Fox? I know there’s disparity in the way we’re treated but he seems to be doing OK now; his wife also on “Baller Wives”
Isn’t that a bad example? He came back to the NFL and made millions and if I remember he even is a sports “personality” on one of the shows and/or repeated guest on various sports talk shows. Some people won’t forgive him but he was able to serve his sentence and then get back into a job where only a few can even get…
One of the young men convicted in the notorious Steubenville, Ohio, rape case is once again embroiled in controversy.
Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett says that he was terrified during his encounter with Las Vegas…
In what is likely the most sickening case of “like father, like son” ever, Jeffrey Sandusky, son of former Penn…
“Bias-related”? No. I think I’ll go with hate crime. And for all of the people who want to parse this and say “what crime was actually committed”? I’ll go with “against humanity”. As a parent, this fills me with rage. It’s scary enough sending your kids away from home, and then this. And when THEIR FELLOW STUDENTS are…
This week at Temple University in Philadelphia, there were two alleged instances of bananas being left at dorm rooms…
We process guns for DNA at our lab all the time. The fact that 1) they got results and 2) it was just the cop’s DNA (from what I’ve read) really, really supports the conclusion that it wasn’t Smith’s. I mean, that should be obvious. But even if the cop touched it after the fact, if it was Smith’s gun he’d be on it. A…
The neighbor who keeps dumping their dog shit in my garbage can will soon actually be under attack.
I have tried to type a comment on this for the past 5 minutes. Nothing I say seems like the right thing to say.
“...with liberty and justice for all*”
It’s fair to say at this point that the purpose of the Justice system is to oppress and murder minorities. Its other functions, and whatever good they incidentally accomplish, serve only to legitimize it in the eyes of whites, so that it can continue to fulfill its primary goal of oppression.
And on a Friday, too - just like you predicted, Michael.
