When did we (the average American consumer) become “customers” to these credit bureaus? I didn’t sign up for anything! We’re not the customer, we’re the product. It’s a fucked up system that needs to be reformed.

Until I can lock and unlock my credit at all the agencies at the same time for free from one central location using at the very least two-factor authentication I will not be satisfied. And even then having my entire credit history stored in one place without my permission will not ease my fear.
