This is a fair point. We don’t know what their marriage looked like behind closed doors but considering he was always a famous bully you might be right that she felt at best, trapped.

I can’t imagine the abrupt separation at 12-18 months must affect the babies as well. Even sending a baby that age to daycare can be a major and somewhat traumatic adjustment for a while.

A similar thing happened to my family when we were visiting relatives in the USA. We’re from Canada and we bought travel insurance. My daughter got a full body rash and we took her to urgent care to be checked out. Within an hour she was diagnosed with an “unspecified allergy reaction” and given a prescription. 4…

This is so true where I live. I heard from a social worker that it’s the number one reason she hears why people are sticking it out in abusive situations. There is no where else they can afford to go.

Agreed! Loved the first two seasons and then the second one was like watching someone else’s bad drug trip....except boring. I never finished watching it.

I think it also was fairly common among affluent American families when the Mother’s side were “somebody.” I have my Mom’s maiden name as my middle name...although we aren’t that special. I’m not Jewish but it was a tribute to her Dad.
