I liked the emotional impact of Abby’s death (and Paige Turco looked fab in that posh outfit after years of stringy hair and filthy clothes!) but to me, what should have been powerful was Clarke’s dilemma with Maddie. No one, surely even Maddie possessed by the creepy bad guy would believe the ultimate survivor Clarke

I’m not a cop but I like crime shows. I’m not American but watch a ton of US shows. I’m not a man but am able to empathise with the odd male lead. I love The Crown but am not a posh royal.

Yeah, it’s time. The 100 peaked in S2 and 3 and has been rehashing ‘the things we do to survive’ plots since.

More network shows with HR failings. Is anyone else concerned Nathan Fillion led shows are getting talked about for on set tensions. What’s that about leadership?

I’m glad it was a sweet happy ending with no last minute tragedies. I was a bit worried there would be a last minute death - Rose’s revenge from beyond the grave or Magda bumping off someone we love. Glad they avoided that! Happy tears from me during that wedding scene. Such a wonderful show, will miss it loads.

Agreed! I thought it was a fantastic episode and couldn’t believe the C+! Of course rape and the sight of it is repellent - but in the world of Gilead, it is a fertile woman’s lot. That June could have sex with Lawrence last week was her submitting to it for everyone’s protection. Meloni has been wasted as a nasty

I quite liked it, but there are flaws. Yes, pretty much all female characters are at the very least bullied and objectified. I have a real problem with the number of films and tv where the lead is a wimpy dorky white guy - someone needs to explain Mary Sue to these creators who give their alter egos all the cool stuff.

Thanks Myles for these thoughtful and considered reviews. I’ve been a fan since the start and while I agree the series has waxed and waned in terms of quality, I think they were smart to largely focus on the main characters. Kind of funny how quickly Badison and Daddy were got rid of when you think about it! They were

Agree with the review. Terrific acting from a great cast but there was simply not enough plot for 7 episodes. The courtroom and custody battle was maybe 3 or 4 episodes worth. Someone should have run Meryl off the road and then a whodunnit as all the ladies are out driving at the time. Turns out the therapist did it -

Can’t Jane, Raf, Petra and all the kids just live together in one big house? I love the way they have built up those relationships over the years. The girls playing the twins are terrific little actresses. Great timing although I like the moments you see them looking kind of bored during a scene (must be a lot of

We had another clue about the identity of the narrator in this episode too when he made a comment about one of Jane and Raf obviously changing their minds about having another baby. Is he their 2nd child??

I don’t get why people love kicking this show- I’m loving it! The performances, the visuals, the nightmare alternate world. Yes, characters swing around and change their motivations and their actions seem illogical. So what, people are not always predictable.

Strongly disagree with a C grade, this was a brilliant series. It is unlike pretty much any other show in the way it looks into the near future through the eyes of this family. The future-tech is a little Black Mirror and the politics is somewhere between present day and The Handmaid’s Tale. Terrific cast and the

I think in terms of consistency, this show is one of the very best. Nearly 100 episodes and I can barely remember more than one or two where I didn’t come to the end with a big smile and warm feeling in my heart.

The writing for Streep’s character is wonderfully horrid. She dismisses Celeste and idolises Perry with so many of the phrases that have been thrown at victims of abuse for years. ‘He would never do that’ ‘why would you believe her.’ ‘Why didn’t you go to the police if it is true?’ Just patronising bullshit from

I agree. It made me think of the Daenerys arc on Game of Thrones- but more so in that Trish has always wanted to be a hero. Remember her fight training in season 1 and the inhaler/enhancer thing she got hooked on in S2. I think they also did a good job of making Rachael Taylor look Barbie perky on her shopping show,

I’m a big Jessica Jones fan and am trying to remember when Trish’s dad got a mention and her awful mother became the victim? Remember how she mistreated and beat Trish as a kid? Now she is the driven mother wanting the best for her kid after escaping a bullying violent husband? Retcon...?

Not made by Hulu, this is a European tv production. It aired on Sky in the U.K. last year and I’m guessing Hulu’s part funding is why Lizzy Caplan and Vincent Kartheiser are in it. Otherwise, most of the cast are French or German with a few Brits. This is not a dumbed down series, indeed, it all but gets pretty brutal

RIP Wendy! (When will Robin Weigert get a big leading role??)

Really enjoyed this episode. Great work by director Ritter and she draws a strong performance from Rachael Taylor, who combines super chic tv host and ultra driven workout freak. Nice work from the stunt team to make hellcat Trish spin those jumps!
