22 years sober thanks 100% to AA (no "treatment" centers, etc) — the AA literature is clear. GOD can be Group Of Drunks, ie, the AA group itself. As long as your higher power is not yourself, AA doesn't care what you believe in. The ocean, the wind through the trees, whatever.
