I've developed a line of hot pepper + fruit jams. One of my biggest hits is strawberry+habanero.

You can put any oven safe baking dish inside a crock pot to cook a smaller amount of food. Put the dish on a wire rack or just some balls of aluminum foil so the temperatures are even. Fill the baking dish up and start up the crock pot.

Personally, I think this tip combines well with the classic spray bottles on a tension rod trick. Tons of storage on one little tension rod!
