I was gonna snark about the fancy chair and the absurd habit we now have of recording every second of our lives, but her reaction is so genuine and sweet that I have tears in my eyes and just cannot say anything but awwwwww. And now I want to go home and hug Tonya, my childhood teddy (who maybe/ maybe not/ definitely

Thanks for the clarification!

I was worried because I'm speaking outside my own ethnicity. But yeah, I know several people who have at least some Aboriginal background, but they consider themselves "different" from the Aboriginal people on the reserves.

The voice of a generation. ::slams head to desk::

Taylor swift didn't make that term up. In fact, she was even quoting Madeline Albright when she said it. She's basically the Shia LeBuef of feminism.

Pardon my confusion, but aren't Mexican Americans often of at least part Native background?

I think her being "unattractive" has a lot to with this. She knows she is no "supermodel" so walking around naked can be a total non sexual thing. I think if she were stereotypically "hotter" it would be even more of an issue like perhaps people would think she was being sexual when she wasn't.

Given that my first response to the photo was "what in the fuck?" I think only having 9 problems is rather kind of you. Also, they do all look like period panties.

My parents tried that when I was younger too. It's really, really hard to hold out, and when the dam eventually breaks, in our family at least it caused a distinct difference between me and my younger siblings who were exposed to TV and the internet and video games at a younger age.

That outfit, lord, that's some straight Marlene Dietrich badassery right there.

Not gonna lie, I was pretty disappointed Jezebel didn't eviscerate Lady Gaga for featuring R Kelly on a track called "Do What You Want With My Body." URGH.

I have unreserved sympathy for Britney. We share a birthday and that might be why. But she just seems so trapped. You would think that money and fame would give you freedom- but she's so constrained all the time.

Thank you for admitting it. Because you did and regret it, that makes the decision not to click easier.

Britney has always come across to me as someone with the mindset of a child who is constantly being controlled and manipulated by everyone around her. The writing in these texts seem to support that. It's all just really sad, and I feel for her.

Yes, she's rich and beautiful and posh.

YES, yes, yes. I so agree. I didn't realise until I was out of my first serious relationship how often I'd squashed my own feelings because I was worried about being seen as the crazy girlfriend. Some of the stuff I let slide was just gobsmacking. I'm also quite an independent person naturally, who relies on my girl

The most fucked up thing about this shit is that it teaches women to actually NOT be needy - and I say this as someone that for years in relationships spent my time tamping down my thoughts and what I wanted under this complete fear that I'd be perceived as a "needy" girl or a "crazy" girl.

And her wedding wasn't the first time she wore it, either. She wore it to a premiere a few years prior.

I hope I say this in a way that makes sense...

This woman has beautiful bone structure and generally well-spaced, well proportioned, features. Were the makeup less photo on the left done from a different angle, and were she presenting a less "meh" face, I think she would be just as lovely BECAUSE she has a lovely face. Guh. The makeup only plays up what she
