WTF? People seriously cook avocados?! *barfinmymouth*

That juice box looks like it was for Jay.

I know many women have said that, when they hit a certain age, it was as if they had suddenly turned invisible. I never realized they were speaking literally.

Well, middle-aged women *are* invisible. There should be an elite ninja counterforce of similarly non-young ladies dispatched to check planes before takeoff, because it seems nobody else is equipped to see these kinds of people.

Seeiously. When I flew from Paris, I went through no fewer than five checkpoints, where they checked my ticket and/or my bag.

Well shit, I can’t even get my damn lotion on a plane, but this woman sneaks her whole SELF on? How does that happen?

I’m guessing the mental issues would probably prevent her from being a useful consultant, but I had the same thought initially.

Even at 24, what the fuck do you have in common at 47? Your cultural markers are completely different. You’re in AARP territory and they’re on their first real job.

I finally watched “Get Out” last night. I fucking loved it and it made me want to go around and apologize to every black person I see. That said I sadly agree. I think it deserves to win best original screen play over all the others but whether or not it will.

So in other words, boys will be boys. I hope you raise your sons better than that.

I was thinking at first that it seemed like the best thing to do as an adult was to tell the kid to back off, then tell his guardians the sitch so they can reinforce, but if that didn’t work, if the guardians didn’t want to back you up, what’s next?

He was not a preteen when the show ended was he? It seems to me people can’t separate actors from the characters they play. Look at the rampant defence of Bill Cosby for example. No one can reconcile that monster with cliff huxtable

Ironic that this was a NYT article. The same news outlet that Glenn Thrush worked for. Hillary eventually got rid of Strider. The NYT cannot say the same. As I said, deflection.

That’s precisely what I’m struggling with, as well. It was a decade ago. By the lens we’re viewing with now, the method of handling the situation wasn’t enough, but....it was a decade ago.

The thing you hit on that sticks with me: “Holding women responsible for men’s bad behavior.”

I do believe that VIRTUAL BRIT said it - she’s married to someone who is known to be a sexual harasser. The idea that she would be capable of something like this and that it is news is laughable.

Well... something WAS done. She docked his pay, moved the woman to another position, and forced him to go to counseling. She *believed* the victim and acted accordingly. Should she have fired him? Prooooobably, but this also seems pretty standard for 2008 HR-Department-Harassment behavior. I’ve seen guys who behaved

But she was a woman who ran for president and she wasn’t even perfect. And, besides, if we stop holding women responsible for men’s bad behavior, we might have to start holding men responsible and that seems complicated and might involve making root changes to our society that mean we can’t just do what we want.

omg you guys sources are saying hillary may have joked to some teenagers that tide pods look like candy ... huge if true

I said it once and I will say this again:
