Yeah, but their legislature though is completely gerrymandered and totally GOP. It’s a sad case.

The film/TV industry in NC is pretty much done now, and it was bringing in a fair amount in jobs, etc. I have a friend who worked in it. Lives in GA now and working again. NC has really been through the wringer. I watch them because I feel like they are a microcosm of what the US future will be. It’s...not good.
I remember Handel from her gig at Susan G. Komen where she sowed seeds of discord that caused a blight that continues. She is a horrible person who will gleefully contribute to human misery for everyone who isn’t just like her. I’m not a tribalist. I’ve voted for many, many men. If a woman wants my vote, she has to…
From your lips to God’s ears.
The film industry is there because they used to be in NC but the former governor of NC (Pat McCrory) got rid of some special tax incentives that movie and film folks depended on while the good folks of GA (seeing an opportunity) created some incentives. Bingo, bango...everything moves to GA. Things happen fast.
Nailed it! There’s a phrase, “Yellow Dog Democrat” which refers to the fact that a Democrat would vote for a Yellow Dog for office. I think it’s pre Civil Rights era, which means a lot of the Democratic voters have switched to the GOP and are now voting for yellow dogs but for the other side. What is the similar…
Nailed it!
Yes, it’s maddening. I am a lifelong democrat and unyoung and the truth is that mostly Dems lose. The Obama years and the Clinton years were unusual. The presidents of my life have been: Nixon (GOP-twice!), Ford (GOP but never elected), Carter (Dem, once, and mostly a palate cleanser for Nixon), Reagan (GOP—twice and…
Just imagine his sad little dementia self watching his nearest and dearest end up in jail. It will be confusing for him and unsettling and (of course) cause rages, rants and anxiety. Imagining that is sometimes my only comfort. When I’m not penning my “Go to jail. Do not pass Go.” List.
Georgia is thinking what it almost always thinks. Democratic candidate equals giveaway of “my” money to people I don’t like who will be doing things I don’t like with it. That’s it. Abortionating, coddling, welfare cheating democrats must be stopped at all costs. No one likes the GOP but (they tell themselves) it’s…
I wonder if he fell asleep? I mean, it’s hard to stay awake when you’re actually driving, at least sometimes.
Remember when Jill Stein pretended she thinks that autism is caused by vaccines because she wanted to raise money from anti-vaxxers? Remember that? That was cool, Jill. Real cool.
Best yet, all the little kids who couldn’t vote yet will pay an even greater price. Yay, us! We are awesome, aren’t we, future dying of heat adults? Aren’t we the bestest?
And maybe Russia?
Fuck the Green Party. Do better or go home, Green Party. This is fucking privilege just taunting everyone else. Privilege of age, in addition to the others (income and color). Because Jill Stein will be dead before 120 degrees in Phoenix becomes a year round thing. I probably will be, too. But lots of people on this…
I am not buying what they are selling here. But fine. If it’s a hate crime I think that means there are federal implications? Maybe because of who is in charge at the federal level it might actually bend more toward justice if they handle it locally? Or maybe I misunderstand or completely don’t know what I’m talking…
I’m thinking that the right autopsy may answer some questions. This is very sad.
Your effervescent character came through just in that post! You are lousy with character!
I would feel much better about Bernie’s advice if he were an actual democrat. Does that make me petty? So be it. It feels like right now the club isn’t good enough for him to join. But if everyone changes things to his liking he might join later. Bugs me.
Also running out the clock. Bad in basketball. Bad in congressional testimony. Bad in life.
