True, but I would imagine there might be a civil suit come next. His lack of remorse and overall attitude might be enough to sway a civil case, since you don’t have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he didn’t care if he hit someone to begin with.
His mistake was not shooting them. Sadly, even in a lot of stand your ground states, defending yourself with fists (Sorry, Grandpa.), a brick (Sorry, Craig.), a knife, or a pipe isn’t allowed, only a gun.
When travelling through the south you can just feel it. They have little to no regard for life. Obviously the racism is a big part of it, but don’t fool yourself. It’s life in general that they have no regard for. Being black just makes it even worse.
