Barack Obama was raised by his white mother. He had an international upbringing, growing up in places like Jakarta, and experienced many cultures. Truly remarkable upbringing for a truly remarkable person. I think he also represents blackness very well. 

That is incredible. The gun lobby is a cancer on us.

I have lived many years in Chicago’s south side, driven through the neighborhoods you are talking about - people leave you alone. That is of course counter to the narratives right wingers spew. 

What made them this way? Where does that disregard for life come from? It makes sense that such disregard goes hand in hand with racism, reveling in hate, assuming the lowest forms that a human can take - is there any cure? Are we just stuck with these types of people?
