thats hilarious!
we cant have nice things..
MrDeadScott — because we can't. We just can't.
Jup. The games industry is about to implode on itself trying to compete with each other.
I was. LOL I take the internet way too seriously.
Unity, along with the other two games, isn't available in the US either. Or Europe. Or Australia. We've asked Ubisoft's US team for comment, along with Valve, and will update if we hear back (so we're yet to know if they'll ever be back, or what exactly happens if you've already preordered).
You seriously believe that? Like, SERIOUSLY? Valve couldn't be more indifferent on what happens on the other platforms than PC. Most likely there has been some issues on agreement, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Ubisofts games appear on Steam before long.
Either that or Ubisoft decides to put all horses on their…
GOTY editions has their own launch price I believe. A bit under the original launch price, but not too far from it.
2 launch editions would be awesome, but that would require either 1) season pass would always include all the dlc, even smaller packs like clothes and maps, excluding avatar (x360) gear. 2) another pass…
If they didn't earn any money on the GOTY editions, they wouldnt be making and releasing them, so if you get it when the version launches or close to, they'll get their money.
You can't deny that people buy a lot of indie games - that alone takes a lot away from the AAA scene. Season Pass should pretty much cover what you're asking for, and I wouldn't mind seeing standard editions and season or full editions that have an enclosed season pass.
I don't think we can solve the problem with the…
What I meant is that the developers is trying to get back in charge with the DLC, and it is partly working, or they would stop making the DLC. There's someone out there who buys them, and I don't think it's small numbers.
It's ofc the higher costs, but it's not due to programmers and designers (in most companies) they…
I'm buying games I know I would enjoy. I might wait a while to pay what I want and not what the store wants to take for it. Most of the money at launch would go towards the store anyway.
Exactly. Making fun of them because of this idea is fine and dandy, but geting downright pissed over an outfit? Want it that bad? Buy it, suck it up.
Tides have changed. Years ago, the developers was the ones who ran the industry, including sales numbers ect.. today? Too many developers, too many games... yeah, the consumer is the one running it now.
The gaming industry worked fine before because
1. the games back then didn't need the resurses they do now
2. more developers, more games, less demand!
Quick question: would you be more inclined to buy the game on day one, if the developer promised to not ever make small stupid dlc, and if ever making a dlc, it would…
ubi can't earn money from that ;)
ubisoft in general. remember how people were up in arms over the watch dogs special editions? :)
dlc is a way for devs to make more money.. money they need.
point taken.
its not recommended.
