I also think it's kind of crap to expect everyone to have the wherewithal to handle an unusual situation the way they would, ideally, like to. I've been in plenty of awkward situations without a penis in my face or my job on the line, frozen up, and done things I wish I hadn't.

Can we stop referring to things like this as "PR Disasters"? That's so not the point. The point, oh, I don't know, that students are not given a safe environment or justice and criminals are allowed to commit heinous violent crimes without retribution? Not that the school has to deal with a PR issue.
