I actually commented on this recently, wondering if Murray Gold—an avowed DW fanboy—simply hadn't been inspired for a while. He has said that his music is informed by the particular Doctor's characteristics. I thought one of the recent episodes had good music … but now I can't remember which one, so it must not have

It's the sort of thing that just ruins things for me. Once again the Doctor saves the day using magic! (and then loses it because his magical computerized sonic device—that can send email—can't take photographs and share them online—something even Google Glass can do) I mean, come on… Bill just texted him a photo of

Did I miss an episode where there was an election?

Hm. I didn't notice. I haven't enjoyed the music as much the last few years as I did during the RTD era.

Nah, the Doctor will save us…. And sacrifice himself—again….

Well, there were a bunch of people when they arrived but they mysteriously disappeared.

What—the sonic sunglasses that can send email but not take a picture? Google Glass is more useful than those sonic sunglasses.
* And there was no suggestion that he used the sunglasses… I don't know. That bothered me more than the Doctor being able to use the Vulcan mind meld.

I'm sorry, but am I the only one bothered by things like the Doctor being able to simply touch the screen on a computer, without even signing in or doing anything else other than touching the screen, declassifies and releases every document necessary and puts them out on the Internet?

Remember Queen Victoria called the Doctor out for not taking things seriously. Rose and the Doctor were already getting to be rather smug and self-indulgent.

I can't wear grocery store reading glasses due to my astigmatism. They give me terrible headaches. Maybe she is the same. (I do only have one pair with my current prescription, but I do always have an old spare in my desk)

I imagine they'll let him come in and sit next to a girl (which surely is his real aim)

It may just be me, but that scene helped to sell David Tennant as the Doctor. I was still not 100% on board. Seeing that big old smile when he found the coat, and then looking in the mirror and sort of nodding and accepting the change helped me to accept him. It sort of completed the transformation.

Hm…. that would be a stretch even for Moffat…. Not sure Chibnall would go along with it, either.

How was it insulting? The clues were there.

Sure.

(Yes, you are correct—thank you, youtube. He still says, "Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives."

I remember they altered it somehow, but I can't remember how.

I didn't see that! That's just horrible, especially in today's political climate.

Maybe you just haven't asked. ….(although I suspect from your "cross and snipey" comment, that you really don't care and wouldn't listen even if you did ask).

Oh, I thought that was why they had her die unexpectedly. My mistake!
