Just saw someone comment on another article that they don't like this take on the character. Said she is not a badass.

I can't remember; was that during the simulation? A glitch in the database? They (somehow) knew about the Doctor's blindness but not the TARDIS's capabilities?
(I should re-watch the episode)

The other possibility is that Bill is Susan's daughter, regenerated, and he's been wiping her memory for that reason. I just can't see Moffat leaving the series without touching on Susan (other than having her photo on his desk). I just keep thinking that she has to be some product of that 24 years with River.

How does Moffat do any of the crazy things he does? He splintered Clara throughout the Doctor's entire history and made her the cause of every great thing he did. He is the king of the bootstrap paradox.

Oh, there also was the character that was hit by a car. I can't remember her name. The secretary…. ** It was Mrs. (Delores) Landingham. Her brand new car was hit by a drunk driver.

They didn't mention Macdonald Carey, who played Dr. Thomas Horton on Days of Our Lives from 1966 til he died in 1994. His character died off screen. My mother watched that show religiously and I remember it was a big deal when he died. His voice identified himself and introduced every episode and every intermission.

Missy could be badass if she were written that way. Michelle Gomez is certainly capable of pulling it off. Moffat went with more camp.

I wanted more Derek Jacobi.

I can't believe it's a random date and time period. Moffat has a reason why he was there at that time.

But where does the fifty years come from?

I figured she is a regenerated Susan and he's been wiping her memory for 50 years for some reason. We know why he's guarding the vault, but why has he been at the university for 50 years? Maybe another promise to River. Take care of our granddaughter.

Yeah, I think she just hasn't noticed.

Oh, you know, there are those who are outraged that he changed genders. Some evidently think Timelords have the same DNA as humans. Others just think they should respect "British white male tradition". Then there are those that just think she is over the top, which she is—but I love that.

I predicted that the Master would be in the vault because the Doctor couldn't let him be executed and agreed to guard him being locked in the vault instead … I more or less got that right… I just predicted the wrong incarnation of the Master would be in there (assuming it really is Missy in there)

(Michelle) I love her as Missy. I know a lot of people don't, but I think she's fabulous.

I wouldn't put it past Moffat to try and retcon the 1996 movie.

It was even more disturbing when I watched it on BBC America and they edited it in such a way that it appeared they were laughing about killing the spider babies. I hate BBCA reruns for that reason! They are so careless with their editing!

That one actually disturbed me.

"too clever by half" is exactly how I tend to describe Moffat…

I still expect there to be a crazy reveal about Bill's *real* story.
