Let's see here... I could compare my Firefox (which has been running for about 5 hours straight, has a dozen open tabs, and more than a dozen addons) and uses, right now, 28% of the memory of this 8 y.o. laptop, with a freshly started Chrome: no open tabs, one addon (the equivalent addon is installed in Firefox, fwiw)

What? The tests on this very site have shown Firefox to be much more memory efficient for a few years now. I just gave you the proof of why Chrome isn't. You're misusing the term bloat there (you can bloat Firefox by yourself by adding tons of add-ons but by default it's not bloated) and you must not have run Firefox
