I agree with you. I was just stating an alternative way Massive could’ve accomplished the same thing without nerfing the conversion rate for crafting. They stated that they wanted to de-emphasize crafting so my suggestion is just another way they could’ve done it. But I agree with you — it totally devalues the point

Developers of The Division. Lol.

If so, they could’ve simply said “we are increasing the drop rate of HEs for named bosses” without stating the 100% at all. Clearly, this was not in the plans prior to the complaint.

Also depends on your personal work style. I tend to do the challenging stuff first thing in the morning when I’m fresh. I do the mindless stuff in the afternoon as a way to wind down. I basically swap 1 & 2.

First, I’m not attacking Massive. I just want people to understand the context of this change. That the HE drops would not have happened had people not complained about the crafting nerf.

I agree that people should’ve been upset. The crafting nerf came out of nowhere. They never even hinted at it in any of their podcasts or streams prior to those patch notes. Completely blind-sided us.

I’m giving them a pass for not being completely honest. The past few days, they kept saying that we only have half the story, and that they will tell us the other half later. Then when they announced the guaranteed HE drops, they didn’t admit it was a response to people complaining about the crafting nerf. The

No, this is not a complaint. I’m just providing people with the proper context. I think their responsiveness and swiftness is GREAT, much better than some other MMO-esque console developer. My point about giving them a pass for now is that their statement wasn’t completely honest; it’s understandable that they want to

It’s not bad. I’m not saying it is. It just needs to be placed in the proper context. The HE loot drops would not have happened had people not complained about the nerfing of the crafting.

I don’t work at Massive, but I am pretty sure that is all done server side so they can adjust the drop rate at will or during the weekly maintenance. Probably just changing a variable from 0.01% to 100.0%....lol.

Exactly. Shouldn’t have taken two days to say something if it was already planned. It’s funny reading the forums where the naive are all going “See, you guys were all crying for nothing. I knew they had a plan all along.” Sure, they did. Sure...

If you want hard proof, then obviously no. But it doesn’t take Sherlock Holmes to see the obvious. If they had planned for named bosses to drop guaranteed HEs, it would’ve been in their original patch notes and wouldn’t have taken two whole days for them to say something. Dropping guaranteed HEs is HUGE. Of all the

Um, that is not how it works. You only see your drops. What you are talking about are campaign mechanics. There are at least two missions where an item drops and you need to interact with it. The beam of light that appears over the items is almost (maybe exactly?) identical to the light from a high-end. Only one

Before people start going all “Thank Massive for the guaranteed high-end drops,” they should know that this was only implemented as a reaction to the outrage when people found out that crafting was going to be significantly nerfed in the April 12th update.

“BuyDig”? Never heard of them.

Seriously. The green circles were annoying. This is an improvement though greater contrast would be nice (the thin font and the grey and light green(?) doesn’t stand out well on a white background.

Naw, that makes it the smartest. Cuz it conned so many to pay $100+ for it!

The balance patch is part of it. There are new story missions, a new strike, updated Prison of Elders, new PoE-like game mode, new armor, more vault space, etc.

Meh. As a previous hardcore Destiny player, I’m going to wait to play the new content that releases next week. Since we know the next major content update won’t be until the Fall, there is no rush. I have all summer to gear up. Will be busy crying over the lack of crafting materials next week instead...

The platforming part needs to be emphasized. I originally bought it for the art style and I liked the idea of playing red/blue. I didn’t realize you needed uber platforming skills. So many frustrating moments for me. There’s a reason I don’t play platformers. I still enjoyed the art style and some of the gameplay, but
