Chicago to LA then up to the Bay is going seriously out of your way, though yeah I'm sure if you're driving cross country you're doing it for enjoyment and not because you have to so maybe it doesn't matter. As someone who has driven the Chicago to Utah and beyond route of I-80 several times over the last few years

Notes on Tesla's superchargers: The maps I was shown at the dealer recently indicated that you can only go cross country via a very specific route at this point. There are superchargers along I-80 from the midwest but only until you reach partway through Wyoming, so you could not go, say, from Chicago to the Bay

Yeah the maps they showed me at the dealer here didn't suggest to me that I could actually drive cross country the way I WANT to go. I would have to go several thousand miles out of my way to the south.

No. It is only free if you buy one of the two more expensive versions of the Tesla, the Model S 85 or the Model S Performance 85. If you buy the $65,000 car (the Model S 65) you have to pay to use the superchargers.

Lol, you're an idiot. It does not have inertial reel belts as near as I could tell though since you are interested in specifics. Some people have families and young children and/or do just generally care about these things. Just because you don't doesn't mean others shouldn't.

Not to be a dick but every single car dealer I have been to in my adult car buying life (10 years, 5 cars, average of 6 dealers per car when shopping) has thrown one of those stories at me. "So-and-so rear ended a semi at 55mph and came in the next day and bought another one!"

You know what's funny, I looked at these the other day and took one out for a test drive. It was pretty clear no one buying them is asking any questions about safety because of the four guys working at the dealer not one of them could accurately tell me how many airbags there are or where they are located. They

LOL, so true bro. Shame I grew up under the roof of one of those experts so I actually understand the reasoning for such a ban. What you're referring to is the fact that there are multiple safety systems and back ups in place and as a result of those back ups people have decided that we don't need to be worried

SECONDED.

Ha, yeah these regs have been totally nuts. Provided you know nothing about the flight control systems and how they work, totally nuts. On the other hand if you know what you're talking about and you understood that there was a point in time when people figured that any chance for interference with a giant missle was

It's behind the clock. The panel moves to reveal the screen when you want to use it.

You must not live where it snows much. You don't always know when it's going to snow and I'm sorry to report that sometimes people are busy and do not have time to get to the issue of buying a second set of tires for a newly purchased car before the random snow gods decide to throw down. In any case you're itching for

Wow, blast from the past on this one. What happens when you have to get the snow tires put on and it has begun to snow? Should you flatbed the car to get it to the tire shop also?

Share the pics! This place looks so awesome.

I believe it did. Also seems to have turned on the left turn signal and left it on as a flashing reminder perhaps? If it really does those things then that is seriously awesome!

First up, Raphael, you gotta see a Voisin. I've seen a couple and they were spectacular.

*sigh*

When I was living in Salt Lake City a couple of years ago I went to the Ferrari dealer there just to do some drooling. What I didn't expect was that in the back of the showroom along one wall would be a 288 GTO, an F40, an F50, and an Enzo, all in red sitting side by side. It was sick.

Call me back when they do the frontal offset tests.

I have been to this event several times and found the people to be fine for the most part.
