Saint Paul has a large Southeast Asian refugee population. Or several, rather; the Hmong came a while ago, and these are second and third generation kids. It’s the Karen and Burmese coming over now.

I grew up in St. Paul. Johnson’s in one of the poorest parts of the city. I think the news cycle makes the blight seem worse than it is in big cities, but there’s definitely some rough stuff happening in that part of town.
