Puerto Rico? Like, maybe we just need to find better states.

Dude, I’m 30 and I don’t remember that. So if they’re young enough to be on Twitter, no, probably not.
Google tells me 1990. Yeah, probably not in the forefront of anyone’s mind.
I’ll be honest, my vision sucks and I do a good bit of visual guesswork at those distances. I feel like I would totally point to some rando and be like, yeah, that’s probably my wife over there. Maybe he’s just got macular degeneration or something.
I was more thinking of the Terminator films. It’s the sunglasses.
Pawn shops: why buy new when you can buy stolen?
Yeah, anyone who’s surprised by this hasn’t listened to a lot of grunge rock.
I think it was the tarp that sprung a leak, but I get the reference.
Yeah, the only time I get told I’m ripe is when I’ve skipped too many showers. Odd thing to use as praise.
That really sucks. I mean, I can’t say I’ve never been confused about someone’s intentions like that, probably everyone has, but I think some of these dudes, it’s not just a disambiguation issue, it doesn’t occur to them that women might be nice or friendly to you without ulterior motives. That’s kinda sad.
I think that’s exactly why it hasn’t happened that way.
It also plays into the narrative that young boys shouldn’t have girls as friends, and I think not learning to have girls as friends really fucks dudes up later on; that’s where we seem to get the idea that yall are something alien rather than just another person going through a lot of the same shit.
The thing is, I think throwing water is more like booing than it is like punching. It’s primarily a humiliation; the actual water isn’t going to harm her, much as she seems like the Wicked Witch. If we (speaking as a Minneapolitan) were throwing acid, your argument would be pretty on point.
Dude, MSP is pretty urban. Like, I don’t own a car, I just take transit. There are genuine cities in the Midwest and this is one of them.
Saint Paul has a large Southeast Asian refugee population. Or several, rather; the Hmong came a while ago, and these are second and third generation kids. It’s the Karen and Burmese coming over now.
I grew up in St. Paul. Johnson’s in one of the poorest parts of the city. I think the news cycle makes the blight seem worse than it is in big cities, but there’s definitely some rough stuff happening in that part of town.
Saint Paul (former) kid here. Nobody’s getting discriminated against here; it’s just a mostly Asian subculture.
Hey, I’m a Midwesterner and thought they were singing about the one in Wisconsin.
For real? I always assumed it was the Wisconsin one. I didn’t know there was one in Cali until now.
That’s kind of her thing though, and I say that as someone who has some respect for it. She raises unenthused to art.
Yeah, we’ve never had the “Don’t speak ill of a fellow party member” thing, though. We’re perpetually fractious, for better or worse.
