This. Arctic Zero gave me cancer

That’s the best one!

I am surprised at how invested I am in her and Jonathan and Steve. Especially because I’m continually reminded by everyone who knew me back then that I was totally Mike Wheeler at 13, down to the tabletop GMing and everything; like, you’d think the nerd kids would be doing more for me, but no.

I think that’s partly it. Like, as a spear carrier she was kind of the everywoman. Those of us who weren’t the cool one, or the noticeable one, or anything, who just shut up and went to class, being treated as disposable by proxy brings up some negative shit.

The Birthday Cake flavor is the dankest

Underrated fantasy classic. Helps that he hardly talks, though.

Now this is trolling! 10/10

I think that’s going to be more like a small moon of molehills... Note that xkcd has discussed this at length.

Active shooter is a zombeh

Yet. That’s the risk we take with this stuff. I don’t have any empathy for the assholes who got shot, but if we start trading tit for tat, we could very easily end up with something like the Ulster Troubles on a continental scale.

Notice that most of these attackers don’t seem to care if they live or die. Deterrence just isn’t relevant in a lot of cases.

It’s not the goddamn Mob shooting up schools, killing their wives and girlfriends, leaving their piece out in the open at home for some kid to hurt themselves. It’s the rest of us. If only the syndicate-level crooks had guns, that would be a significant improvement on the current situation.

Note that Carly Rae Jepsen’s got an essentially teenage stage persona and she’s in her thirties.

He probably lasts longer that way

A postal worker? Isn’t that kind of like, retro for a mass shooting?

Actually, didn’t Elmo’s voice actor take some heat on a similar note a while back?

Qatar’s got its own diplomatic clusterfuck going on right now, though. This might legitimately be more them than us.

Nixon was a (brilliant) conventional politician, not a fascist demagogue. They’re not just using different strategies; they’re not even playing the same game.

The Houthis are Shiites, though. I find myself often wondering that if we made nice with Iran and the like, I mean, these guys hate ISIS and other Sunni radicals as much as we do. Why are we working with Riyadh against Tehran again? It could flip the chessboard.

I find myself wondering if this is fundamentally tactical. That is to say, since the Muslim bans with the exemptions for them were thrown out by the courts at the left’s behest, this allows them to try to pin their fates on us.
