I think Trump is Bernie’s best chance. The canard that he’s unelectable in a general election goes out the window when the other candidate is someone like Trump. The rules of normal politics at that point are already out the window.

As Godwinny as it sounds, I share your fear. The GOP may be committing political suicide, which would be cool, but if they’re not, we are heading in a very bad direction, because this guy is the most overtly fascist American political figure in living memory.

I deal with insufferable people all the time and manage not to rape them. Most of us do.

I have never heard of any of these individuals, which makes me think that maybe they are not big names in the sense being sought out.

That’s my point, that he/we didn’t do shit. I think we’re on the same page here. I’m saying, though, that he did try to get backing to do more, and the backing didn’t materialize. Remember him going to Congress for approval of airstrikes after the chemical weapons came into play?

Obama tried to go in there, get the FSA the hardware and air support to topple Assad before radicals got involved, and Congress (and the public for that matter) didn’t back him up. So now we’re here. There are a lot of people I blame for this, and Obama’s not all that high up on the list.

Hey, I thought it was cool that instead of a date for the VMAs, she brought her homegirls. She’s one of the few public figures that acts like platonic friendship is important.
