Well, since we’re back to your movie point, I’ll counter with a repost of my response to someone else:

Game difficulty is part of accessibility.

When gamers aren’t complaining about the trees or the grass, that’s been the number one complaint of every Pokémon game for the last 24 years.

I’m sure they’ll remember that next time they need someone to pilot their drones.

It was part of CD Projekt Red’s intention to create a game that had a section with strobing, flashing lights.

No, people who think games should be inaccessible to people with physical limitations are whiny, entitled brats.

Thank you. I know there is probably no point, and I could be doing better things with my time, but accessibility is an important issue for me.

You know what I can do in a movie if I find a part of that movie is too scary, or too boring, or too difficult to watch, or has too many flashing lights that could literally kill me?

All of the reasons you gave amount to nothing more than to purposefully exclude certain people, which is not good.

Somebody should have told that to all those people who got seizures from playing Cyberpunk 2077....

Some people don’t want to skip those games. Some people want to play them, while also being able to enjoy them. There is no good reason whatsoever why they shouldn’t.

Yes, they do. I’m paying for it, they absolutely do.

Not everyone derives pleasure from the same thing. Lots of people don’t feel this great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction from banging their head against a wall 25 times. They feel like their time was wasted.

Why does this attitude only ever get applied to difficult games? When a game is perceived as too easy, gamers can’t complain quick enough that there should a difficulty slider. Nobody seems to care about the artistic vision of the director when the game is easy.

Still keeping with the “prison” motif though.

One man’s gross violation of ethics and the law over several decades is another man’s opportunity.

I’m not saying you could get a 2 hour YouTube video analysis out of a single piece of concept art, but I’m not not saying you could get a 2 hour YouTube video analysis out of a single piece of concept art!

None of the new takes are bad, but they all seem a little... over-designed.

Ohforgod’ssake…
