Long ago, a storm was heading toward the city of Quin’lat. The people sought protection within the walls, all except one man who remained outside. I went to him and asked what he was doing. “I am not afraid,” he said. “I will not hide my face behind stone and mortar. I will stand before the wind and make it respect

It’s so weird to me that they are once again basing the major conflict of the season on a mysterious something that can destroy an entire planet. Destroying entire planets has been a thing since TOS. You don’t even need some Death Star like super weapon, basic ships in Star Trek have always had the power to destroy

Considering how many people are discovering or rediscover DS9 and reaffirming it as the best Trek has ever been, I would say what Star Trek was is just as relevant today as it ever has been.

Let’s get some fat, schlubby looking vampires with unkempt hair and poorly applied makeup because they can’t see what they look like in the mirror and after 500 years have just stopped caring.

Heheh, that rhymes!

The only thing I care about is whether or not they’re finally gonna put the extended edition widescreen high definition version of The Muppet’s Christmas Carol on the service. THAT will get me to resubscribe in a heartbeat.

At this point I have to wonder how big the crossover is between people who are actually interested in the single player campaign and people who are primarily interested in the multiplayer.

From a strictly legal standpoint, there is nothing stopping you from opening a restaurant named McDonald’s, so long as you're willing to spend the next 10 years in court battling an army of high priced lawyers.

Everything that is happening now with the Pokémon fandom has happened before, and will happen again.

Kind of ironic that ORAS and BW are being held up as the pinnacle of the Pokémon franchise now, considering they were widely reviled by the fan base when they debuted.

Part of the problems comes from most big media franchises chasing the four quadrant demographic in an attempt to position themselves as a permanent fixture in people’s lives. Franchises like Star Wars and Marvel and DC produce clearly delineated contend for every age group so that a fan could basically go from ages 4

After a point, stupidity/laziness becomes indistinguishable from malice.

Everyone is jumping to the conclusion that Bowser must be scared, instead of thinking to himself, “Hot damn! I’ve been kidnapping the wrong one this whole time!”

No, they’re made under the assumption that games with annoying artificial difficulty are not fun to the majority of people. Which, spoiler alter, they aren't.

My house is less than half the size and worth more than twice as much.

This comes as a jolt to Project Volt.

When it happened was probably the development of Brawl. Apparently Nintendo’s announcement that they had started development of the game came as a complete surprise to Sakurai. He had not previously been informed that Nintendo was even interested in another Smash game, let alone that they were already working on it.

Republicans are really bent out of shape when poor people have fun. Poor people shouldn’t be having fun, poor people should be working. That way they can make money so that they can then give that money to rich people. Then the rich people wont have to work and can spend more time having fun.

Is there a particular reason people hate him other than just not liking his music or thinking he’s over exposed? Like, did he actually do anything abhorrent that I just haven’t heard about yet?
