It is a law universally understood that at any given time on any given video game related subject there exist infinite number of people both complaining about the thing and growing increasingly hype about it

Thank you for your well considered response, although i have to disagree with several of the points:

Turns out there are other markets where Activision’s reputation matters. They still need to hire people, which is harder than it sounds and VERY influenced by whether you think people are gonna actually abuse you. They still need good press just as a part of the normal marketing cycle.”

A similar post was made exactly 3 minutes before yours, but was about this being puritanical and anti sex.

Don't be an asshole on the internet!

More positive stories please

The restrictions imposed on players don’t come from a law; it’s an industry regulation recently passed by the National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA). As a parallel example: Imagine that you’re an American company that wants to dump radioactive waste into a lake, and the Environmental Protection Agency

... no? The author is disappointed that certain large gaming sites didn’t have a thoughtful take on the themes of the game, choosing instead to focus on the core gameplay. That’s a reasonable choice on their part, and Ethan can also be reasonably disappointed in that choice, but I don’t think he’s impugning those

It could be that he did other more egregious things that the company has no incentive to reveal; or it could be that they want to throw anyone remotely connected to this ordeal who isn’t senior management under the bus so they can go back to generating good publicity for thekr video games

Ok but “you, the reader, want to fuck these animals” is pretty funny.

As someone who very casually has enjoyed pokemon as an adult, it’s the “made for babies” qualifier that really made me love this comment

Halo killer? Qu'est-ce que c'est?

I bought KH3 for $7 about a year ago and regretted it. Don't make my mistakes.

I largely game on consoles, recently bought my first ever gaming laptop, which I use sparingly, and am now considering buying this as a way to play that new/growing PC game library in my preferred manner (curled up on the couch). My big question is how easy it will be to run Game Pass in addition to Steam

If it were not difficult to not be an asshole, we'd be living in a very different timeline!

This is an interesting article / explainer, but I’m not sure I would arrive at the same conclusion. Big corporations engage big law firms all the time for all sorts of law stuff. They don’t need to make a big announcement about it. If they feel a need for legal assistance for union-busting purposes, I’m sure they’re

This is very cute and commendable, but i couldn’t get past the fact that the theme music is a bootleg version of the Totoro theme

‘We are sickened by the falsehoods and distortions in this complaint, and also we have changed, we promise. None of this stuff that never happened is continuing to happen because it stopped / never happened’
