General Hispanic representation would be nice, but part of what I was zeroing in on is how totally strange the Cuban accent and Cuban Spanish is considered to be within the Latin world

As a Cuban-American, I need to sit with this a minute, but my first thought was: I wonder if the NPCs or the protagonist will have authentic Cuban accents?
No one, that is, until you wrote that comment — this is my new go-to retort for summer 2020
Also: I meant that TLOU was my favorite of the PS3 generation
Like Celeste, it’s brutal yet forgiving, merciless yet compassionate. And I really like the art and sound design. And the fantasy of being outdoors.
The Last of Us was probably my favorite game of the PS4 generation. Now, stuck at home in quarantine, I find myself playing Animal Crossing, Ni No Kuni, Celeste, Lonely Mountains: Downhill, and other gentle, kind-hearted games that make me feel good inside.
Underwhelming games can feel very overwhelming. So many options, settings, waypoints, combat features, characters, skill trees, plot points, etc., and so little motivation to learn them
Just want to commend the Clickhole-style headline
I personally try not to call people racist, to sum up someone’s character, if they’re anywhere short of being a Trump advisor, but I think there is a lot of good in calling out racist behavior. Otherwise, how can we expect it ever to stop?
No, and no. Dude, just take the opportunity to learn about race and reflect a little. Don’t sorry too much about what other people think of you. No one’s going to come after you or force you to do anything.
Intent isn’t everything. If you’re regularly being misunderstood by other peoplethay seems like an invitation to reflect on what you're communicating and how.
If you’re reading these types of articles, you’ve probably gathered that racism isn’t an on/off switch, it’s a set of expectations baked in everything. And, given the way you wrote about this experience, there may have been a lot you weren’t picking up on. You’re 100% entitled to not like Indian food, but when you…
Very abstracted conspiracy-mongering that seems very concerned about some aspect of the game that the writer is having trouble explicitly stating
All corporate communications are superficial. But the public nonetheless requires them to make these statements, and shames them if they do not, because of the belief, I think, that making these attitudes commonplace and making contrary viewpoints shameful and worthy of censure is ultimately beneficial to the cause.
I was mostly wondering whether game designers might now be paying more attention to it, but obviously three games does not make a trend, and it may just be that I (and various writers at Kotaku) have only now started paying attention to it
Is sound the latest frontier in gaming? I fell in love with the new Animal Crossing in part for the beautiful, relaxing, and all-around excellent sound design and recently have been enjoying Lonely Mountains: Downhill, in part, for the same reason.
Please tell me.
Also, non-black folks, even those who are exhausted and dismayed by George Floyd’s death and other recent events, should be splitting their time between delightful escapist fun like Animal Crossing and actually engaging with the world and contributing to it (to the best of your circumstances and ability). I struggle…
I am happy that, despite the great purge of excellent writers that Kotaku recently endured, it remains a diverse, engaged, and thoughtful collection of voices.
I assume any response to this question would depend heavily on your personal level of interest in the Sonic fandom.
