I do appreciate that while Sheriff Keller is a terrible sheriff, he is a really good dad. I did hope his chat with Kevin would end with “You’re grounded for two weeks” because OH MY GOD, KEEP YOUR CHILD OUT OF THE FUCKING WOODS.

Hermione and Alice might be the most interesting & complicated characters on the show.

I do enjoy that this show excels at being hot garbage and that it’s silly to question its silliness.

That being said, I also enjoy that Jughead is trying to help his dad, who did in fact commit horrible crimes.

It seemed more likely to me that Juggie was beaten up by a Serpent. He hasn’t actually done anything to antagonize the Ghoulies yet & someone went out of their way to send him that message. I don’t think Toni knows though.

Toni is bisexual in the comics, and I sincerely hope that they let Moose remain bisexual. It makes both more interesting and layered. I actually think we’re supposed to think Moose is bi, as he seems sincere in his interest/attraction to Midge. It’s just he seems to long for men, too and maybe even Kevin.

This show makes The OC look like My Dinner With Andre and I LOVE IT.

He got busted by Weatherbee and threatened with expulsion for carrying around that knife in this month’s tie-in comic book, but I guess he didn’t learn his lesson.

To be fair to them, this is exactly the sort of video Archie would have made. I expect if Jughead, Cheryl, or Betty had made it instead, it would have ended up very different.

Yeah, that’s why I think the guy in the hood will actually just be working for the real villain.

And I love that the school is so lax in security that a classroom can be commandeered for a vigilante meeting AND both Jughead and the sheriff can waltz onto school property with ease.

As much as I liked Kevin, and how they used him in this ep, I really wish it wasn’t opposite Betty. All his scenes/sl are opposite Betty and it’s too gbf. Here’s hoping the wrestling thing pans out (and wasn’t a total lie) and he can branch out beyond the female cast... like with Moose. More stuff like like last…

It was weird to be reminded that Polly existed in this episode. And disturbing to be reminded about how horrific her situation is. Given how concerned Betty has to be about how dire the situations for Polly, Kevin, Archie, Jughead, and Veronica are currently, it seems likely that Dark Betty will have to appear shortly…

Archie: “There’s a murderer on the loose!”

Yeah I don’t know what Kevin was so worried about, it seems like there are plenty of gay men of all ages in Riverdale.

His Kong: Skull Island theme was better.

Archie in his scenes with Veronica’s parents reminded me of Fry from Futurama when he regressed in age back to being a teenager & picking up Leela for a date, nervously trying to impress her parents & speaking in a fake deep voice. I don’t mean this as a criticism of KJ Apa though, I thought he nicely sold how Archie…

TONI WAS GREAT?! Just the right amount of fun and I too hope that this love triangle, if it happens, has it swinging in the Betty direction.
