Damn. is fine. Good, not great. The Dirty

Dang, all sorts of bad Neko takes in one thread.

There are a few good to great episodes this season:

That's a good pull. The sketch is OK as an impression showcase, but the tone is all wrong and the sketch weirdly sides with Limbaugh.

Me too. Macgruber had steady laughs and hard laughs.

While I like The Ten, to me it's still Wain's worst. They fact that They Came Together isn't universally acknowledged as a classic baffles me.

If only Macgruber and Hot Rod had the kind of hard laughs that Oceans 11 and Francis Ha have.

She was bad at SNL. Very bad.

Gary Kroeger is really good, actually. Rewatch that stuff and there's a guy who would have fit in with the late-80s cast.

Piscopo on SNL was very good. He's a punchline, bus only sin was not being as funny as Eddie Murphy. The gap between Eddie and Joe is huge, but it's equal to the gap between Joe and the rest of the cast (save Gary Kroeger, who was really underrated).

There are no consensus bad seasons like the ones covered in MWOF, but I'd point to 04-05 (post-Fallon malaise) and 09-10 (post-Poehler malaise, Wiig overload) as low points. 13-14 is kind of a botched transitional season, but there's some underrated work in there.

Gasteyer is one of the greats. Truly.

Yeah I've got time for some, not all, but some Breuer. He's a great story teller and he hit on SNL without the backing of the writers. He did a sketch with Brendan Fraser called Issues that I remember enjoying a lot.

Norm's response was "She made Morweena Banks look like Gilda Radner."

I'm sure it was mentioned in the first draft, but he had to cut it in favor of the part about Trump.

That's why all Neil Young is bad because of that period where he seemed to endorse Reagonomics. It's the only mature response for a fan to make.

My guess is Kevin Farley was just happy to get a paying gig. It would be like Kevin Sorbo starring in one of those Christian movies. Also, Chris Farley's politics were a) hardly pronounced, and b) likely irrelevant. Such a weird angle to take when writing about him.

Such a non-sequitor. Rabin has a history of this. I really feel like it takes the article off the rails.

This is what makes him so great, but then I'm always baffled when someone doesn't like him. It's like their comedy compass is broken.
