This works universally in US cities, too.

Even better! “Clinton holdover”.
I think anyone who follows politics knows that. I also proves my point about the degree to which a quisling like Romney will run from his own position when faced with unhappy large donors. He talked non-stop shit about the ACA when he ran for President. He stands for nothing - a classic empty suit.
I think the Pope and Ray Hudson need to work this issue out together.
Good points. Public transit is a bitch to retro-fit for cities that were built around cars. Unfortunately, there are a lot of other examples of that besides Buffalo, Cleveland, and Pittsburgh.
Mitt will wither at the first objection from the insurance and medical lobbies.
Amsterdam made the switch from full auto to walking/cycling in the 50's. I read a great article about it once. I’ll try to find the link. Portland, OR is making strides in the area of limiting cars. Retro-fitting a car-centric city is a major pain in the ass, but it can be done.
No shit. That was kind of my point.
No, it’s just a catch-all excuse for doing nothing. File it with “Why bother voting when both parties are the same”.
No doubt. Bonus points for “Obama holdover”.
John Barrasso is one of my state’s Senators. Trust me when I tell you that he is not one of the wonkier people who will come up with a solution.
“Cities are built around the presumption of automotive transportation, so everything is more spread out, and people *have* to use automotive transportation to get around.”
Have you watched a match he’s working? He’s the best.
Found it.
And there is is. Sublime, even by his standards.
I need to hear from Ray Hudson on this.
Oh God.
As a Certified Old, even with a generous amount of accumulated wisdom and trickery, I’m forced to agree. Plus, I can’t think about that old gummer and a fucking bunny suit any longer.
Counter-argument: a man of his advanced age has years of experience getting in and out of that suit. Further, he can afford the advanced tailoring and fabrics necessary for a true Fuzzy Bunny Speed Suit™.
