I guess the “overland” modifier in the name justifies at least half that price tag...

That is probably enough fire hazard to burn down a forest or two.

Saw this lower in the page when I looked at the Tweet linked here, thought that was interesting article.

Oil systems in diesel engines get polluted with fuel and break down, especially in colder climates. Combine that with Canada winter-cold and fuel contamination turning into gelatinous goo in regular sub-zero °F weather, and yeah, you can smoke an engine in 50K miles.

An important bit of information we need to know is whether the oil light was a service reminder, or status indicator. If the light was a “service soon” it’s one thing, but if it was indicating low pressure or levels...thats another.

There’s a substantial difference between “not on time” and “I haven’t figured out how to access the onboard computer and may have starved the engine of lubrication for thousands of miles but certainly won’t admit to that when I’m trying to garner enough media attention to geta free engine.”

he may have said “scrap” to keep the story short and simple, but i wouldnt be surprised if the dealer maybe offered the guy a few bucks to walk away from it. then they take it, slap a new motor in there and sell it...

Of course they knew. But they also knew that if they raised taxes to fix any of the crumbling infrastructure, they’d all lose their jobs and be raked over the coals for being freedom hating tax and spend politicians.

Hey David Tracy, you see all that rust?  I have a bridge to sell you.

how about we connect the fuckin’ beams first and worry about the dots later?

Off road tires might help keep it from sliding horizontally in mud. But yeah; It’s hilarious seeing “Overlanders” putting $500 worth of BFGoodrich mud terrains on their trailers. Sure, it looks cool, but it’s pointless.

I bet you can, and you bet I’ll try!

Hey buddy.

No credible source is saying it was “made in a lab.” It may have been being studied in the lab, or found in a specimen collected for the lab, but that’s the same thing as being “created.”

Best post of the thread. Right here. And yes, I’m glad I’m not the only one noticing the change in opinion related to blocking roadways.

Back in the “before times”, on a new trailer/RV you typically took the MSRP and subtracted 25-30% to get what you would actually pay for it. Not sure what it’s like now, but it’s gotten insane. I bought a 2016 23' Coachmen in 2019 for about $18,000 (including extended warranty), rented it out through 2020 and 2021 and

If by “an entire country” you mean a tiny fraction of a percent of conservative western truck drivers.

Ok. Slowly and clearly.

I don’t agree to participate in a medical experiment in which a deadly, novel virus spreads through the population like wildfire, rather than taking simple, proven measures to slow the spread of disease, such as wearing a covering over my mouth and nose when indoors to prevent respiratory droplets from spreading

They have been calling them the Flu Trucks Klan up here.
