Missed headline opportunity: “Arizona Man Gives New Mercedes Thumbs-Down”
I’m not so sure about that article. In the US an e-Transit starts at $47k while a regular one starts at $36k and diesel isn’t even an option. A company putting a quarter million miles on their van will easily save more than the $11k premium in fuel and maintenance.
Take a look at Giant brand.
Buy a name brand used bike on Craigslist. Then replace the brake pads and cables. Pay the local bike shop to do it if you’re not entirely comfortable doing that.
I raced Huffy’s and later Redlines in BMX back in the early 80's and those things were ultra-heavy but they could not be broken. I think the worst I ever did was bend the seat stem. This was jumping, landing and cranking the hell out of the pedals every weekend and leaving it leaning against the side of the garage…
Interesting, when I was riding bikes as a kid, the bikes proved more durable than my bones. (mid 2000s)

If you are saying the airlines didn’t cancel flights, you’d be wrong. I know that at JFK on the day it was to go in affect, AA canceled about 17 flights related to specific elements of their fleet that they thought were at risk. They likely reinstated the next day when the 5G wasn’t fully rolled out.
Put your airplane in airplane mode.

Oh that’s right. I forgot that the insurance companies work for free and Amazon and other businesses never pass costs on to consumers because they are just a giant ball of charity. /s
Correct, this was news last week elsewhere, Jalopnik is nothing more than cut and paste with a few words changed...
I think Ford will raise the price 5-10% next year so it actually makes sense to buy it a year earlier.
“Did they not know this was going to happen?”
Considering this appears to be very localized, it’s likely a product of how trains work in those areas, opportunistic thieves (co-insides with the dramatic rise in smash and grabs), and the local bail rules don’t help.
“With this 120 month loan the F-150 is actually a little less monthly than Maverick!"
furiously nodding.
well, I know you saw one in the ad, but the one we had at that price sold earlier today. If you are interested, I have an F150 here that will do all the same stuff as that Maverick - if we could get you close to that monthly payment you mentioned would you be willing to sign today?
only taller.
You’d need to move the steering wheel back like 70" to build a proper coachbuilt roadster. 2 doors, 2 seats, 8' long hood, 5' long trunk.
