I don’t miss flying one damn bit.

Clearly you haven’t been following that closely. It’s been known to be a unibody FWD base vehicle since before the official launch. It’s ok for you to not like it, Ford still has plenty of Rangers and F150s they will be more than happy to sell to you for up to 2x the price.

Perhaps this isn’t for you then. It sure does seem to be for a lot of other people. If it helps, though: don’t think of it as a “truck.” Really, it’s a ute based on a Focus.

We have an 8KW Solar Array and our Nissan Leaf draws 6KW when it is recharging, just plugged it in to suck up the abundant sunshine over the midwest today.

There’s an AWD hybrid escape so I’d just wait a year and I bet it will show up.

XLT + Co-Pilot + Cyber Orange is my pick. After a few other small accessories it came out to $25k-ish.

Basically if you already have a vehicle your cost in the game has not changed. If your starting, the goal post just keep moving.

No sense of adventure. And in HI, the traffic is so slow you would have to try pretty damned hard to kill yourself anyway.

I mean, if you’re not willing to kill someone in a $10 camp chair then do you really deserve to go on a vacation at all?

Planning a move and need a vehicle for our last few days after our cars have shipped out, and to get to the airport on the last day. Not Hawaii, just Portland, OR. A “standard” sized SUV for 12 days came to almost $3k (need an SUV at least the tail end to get all our crap + pet crates to the airport). So I booked a

Side note.  If you speed in Arkansas, they will help you flip your truck. It’s a service the provide with a giant grin.

When my kid brother turned 16 in the late ‘90s my dad was in pretty lousy financial straits but wanted to get him a car. Ended up with an absolutely trashed 4 cylinder ‘79 Mustang. First year of the Fox Body.

Depends on how liberal your use of the term “seating” is.

Pbbbbbbt, I can fit, like, 30 people easy in the back of a Uhaul.

Seems silly to intentionally wreck a perfectly good car

One of my favorite Pratchett insights.

Just get 3.  You’re renting 2 cars already.  What’s another one.

Prob just like the Escape Hybrid, 2 terminals under the hood roughly where the battery would go on the conventional gas model.

I went from not paying attention to this thing at all to reserving one in a single morning.

So do a ton of Mercedes.
