No bike share where I live - but I converted my old commuter bike with a Chinese electric kit a couple years ago as an experiment. Well over 3k miles later, it’s a freaking game changer, and while I lust after a smooth higher-end ebike with a Bosch or Shimano motor (and the torque based assist, rather than the janky

“What I didn’t do was go buy a 50K truck that will be worth 15K in six years. If it’s still running.”

Ha! I sold my 2014 MKZ to Carvana last month! I bought it for $20k back in 2017 and figured it’d be worth around $9k now, Carvana gave me $14k for it. This is most non-domestic manufactures. They will all give the appearance that you can “build” whatever you want on their website, but behind the scenes, that’s just a long-winded way of searching their inventory for similar cars.

“The short answer is that there is no reason for a dealer to insist on a credit application if you are a cash buyer.”

Add to that the requirement of deleting something to get something else that’s 100% unrelated.

A lot of car people (myself included) recognized that Lordstown is vaporware from the start. The Government though, the government is a case study of confirmation bias. They’ll believe anybody who says they’re going to make electric (what the gov’t wants) pickups (what consumers want) right here in America, with

First Gear: I am SHOCKED to find that a company with a gold presidential seal of endorsement would have financial problems a short time later. /s
