Corn gluten has to be applied right at the exact correct time, or it won't work however, and it takes years of applications for all the weeds to disappear from your lawn. It does have a good nitrogen content, however, so it's still good for your lawn. It's not cheap, either at about 40 or 50 bucks for enough for

I don't think I can use a cast iron skillet or fry pan on my ceramic stove top, can I? I'd love it if I had gas burners, but alas I don't...

VOTE: DisplayFusion

@Savocado: That's a silly point. Yes, it might take more energy, but you're discounting all the other externalities that come into real-world play. These include limited land area in some places for a dump; leaching of toxic chemicals into the water table; destruction of marine life due to floating debris; long

@jeffeb3: Give Renaissance Wax a try. It's a bit expensive at around 20 bucks for a small can, but a can will last you forever. It also protects the saw from rust and makes wood just slide so nicely along. Apply it not only to the surface of the table, but also along your fence. I use it on my plane soles as well.

After reading this, I decided to give it a go. Less than 5 minutes (and that included getting the ingredients and measuring stuff out). Wow - that was quick. We'll see how it bakes and tastes tonight. It will be shy of 8 hours though (6 and half), so we'll see if that causes any issues. Thanks for the inspiration

@TheOtherHalf: Fast Stone Image viewer supports PCX and does a ton of batch conversion options as well. Excellent program, and well worth the price of free.

@AmphetamineCrown: FastStone Image Viewer does this. It allows you to set the Crop size as well as the x y coordinates from the top left that the crop starts from. You can also add a watermark, change the size, rotate, change the canvas size, change the color depth, add a border etc... all in the batch converter

@HurtsSoGood: They work great with Hydrangeas as well. They make them a really pretty blue. I'll have to plant some blueberry and raspberry bushes this year and give them a good mulch with coffee grounds.

@Notsogr8one: I found Aldiko to have a really nice interface and easily download a lot of free books, but it didn't format well at all on my HTC Touch (running custom Android ROM). The text columns would either be too wide, or too narrow and you could only see half a page after about page 12 of a book. So I use it

Anyone have any ideas how to add this to Google Bookmarks? I can only add the page that's currently loaded, and of course as soon as I hit the random page url, it forwards me on to the random page itself. Google Bookmarks only allows editing of the name and folder, and not the actual URL.

Once you have used Gorilla brand duct tape, it's hard to go back to the original silver standard. I've used a piece of Gorilla tape for the past two years to hold my coffee maker grind door shut. It sticks, and resticks every day just fine, even with the changes in heat.

@nav13eh: I was going this route, but then found a CRT projector for 125 bucks on Craigslist. Extremely heavy, but excellent picture quality and great ability to focus, and long lamp life. Look here for remanufactured ones that are a pretty good deal for what you get (350 bucks + shipping gets you into 1080i/720p

@kerowhack: Very good suggestion to use a french cleat for this. As long as the size isn't too large, and the tools too heavy, it wouldn't be unwieldy to move from wall to cart and back again. The base and wheels are a little small for my usage, as I would want to be able to roll it outside, and not just keep it in

I guess the decision comes down to "do you trust Google?" Personally, I've drunk the kool aid, since I use Google for email, calendar, tasks, document storage, rss reader, mapping, browser, photo storage and phone OS. I figure that there are worse companies to trust (AT&T), and Google has tried to do the right thing

I used TurboTax online this year and it was painless and easy - took me only about four hours, and I've got three kids, a house, etc... etc... It did cost a pretty penny though as Federal was 30+ bucks, and state was 35+ bucks.

That's not felted soap, that's a year's supply of Jason's belly button lint.

Yeahhh for Wegman's started right here in Rochester and one of our biggest (and best) employers. Glad to see they're sustainable. Interestingly enough, this must be a decision from the top down, as I inquired at one of the Wegman's Seafood counters about sustainable fish and the guy looked at me like I had two

It's awesome that they opened this up for online storage. One other thing that I noticed, is it's also using the same storage servers that Gmail/Picasa use, so if you've upgraded either of those, then the Google Docs is upgraded as well. Now if only someone comes up with a drag/drop desktop interface. Perhaps with

What version of Handbrake are people using that gets past the DRM on the newer movies? I thought that Handbrake doesn't have decrypting algorithms included any longer.
