The Mule. In the early books it was kind of assumed he was a mutant, but later was said to be a renegade Gaian, if I remember correctly.

This was inevitable, and it doesn’t bother me one bit (unless the show absolutely sucks).

Tagline: If you though Dune was unfilmable, get a load of this!

They really don’t have to give an explanation. They can just say, “They’re Eternals, they’re here now, etc” and most viewers will be like “Okay, whatever, sure, these look cool”.

I know they need to acknowledge it somehow, but I hope they leave that question untouched. I feel like it would be smart to just start the new chapter of the MCU without having to lean too hard on the past.

Never read an Eternals comic but I hope dreadful things happen when they do interfere with humanity. And I guess by humanity they mean all living things? If you don’t interfere when the half the universe is murdered, then when do you interfere? I’m loving this experimental MCU phase.

Him and Stephen Fry on QI was just gold:

Someone’s gotta say it, these cars are better with the manual.

I’ve watched that clip about 20 times and I roll on the floor laughing every time. Every time.

He was unbelievably good at comedy. A lot of 8 out of 10 felt pre-scripted like any panel show - but then he’d think of some new joke on the spot and just break everyone.

Sean twirling an imaginary moustache at the end is brilliant.

Fuck this shit. Cats Does Countdown was one of our pandemic binge-watching mainstays and Lock’s curmudgeonliness and general...weirdness was such a huge part of the show. I noticed his voice sounded a little different in his most recent episodes but I had no idea he was sick. RIP.

I can’t believe I had never seen that clip until today, after the news of Sean’s passing.

I can’t even imagine Cats does Countdown without him. I’m so sad about this. RIP to the world’s greatest carrot in a box player.

Gonna miss him as hell on Cats Does Countdown. My two favorite jokes/bants of his from that show:

I’ll miss him. he was one of the few constant presences of that acerbic style of humour that just didn’t give a fuck if you were on board or not.

Toyota wins because they fixed things that needed fixing without ruining a single thing everybody has loved about the car for 8yrs - at the “cost” of 50-ish pounds and a few extra bucks over the last one.

First off, we should all be commending both Toyota and Nissan for still offering manual, fairly simple, RWD sports cars in an age where everything is going electric and computer-based.

Worth reminding the youngsters in the audience that the term ‘computer bug’ comes from back when they were room-sized electromechanical beasts, and a moth got caught in one of the relays.
