Is Noam Chomsky jacked enough to parse that?

That’s because driving in Manhattan is basically all edge cases.

The Cybertruck is really big and imposing. If there’s one in the area, it’s hard not to get a tip off.

Wasn’t there an episode of original Walker where a kid had psychic powers or something?

This fucker isn’t going to be president. What’s he still trying to prove?

Someone where I live has one wrapped up in bright NY taxi yellow. It looks like a massive block of cheese...

They do say Cybertrucks attract a lot of glances...

I did see a few ‘release candidate’ Cybertrucks around the Warm Springs area in the days leading up to the release. It’s not that they don’t test their products — rather, I think Elon’s problem is he doesn’t value people, or people’s experience. I don’t believe he’s interested in the expertise engineers might bring fr

See, when you use Gundam as a metaphor for a car crash, I’m used to seeing the Gundam as the collider.

Ah, interesting — it sounds like this is one of the smaller regional jets. Do you suppose those sorts of compromises are more common with smaller aircraft because of space restrictions? (Or could you find similar weirdness on, say, a 777 or an A350?)

There is this one local place I like for Peking duck. Otherwise, it’s been a few years since I tried Din Tai Fung. I might go back some time.

The 2019 BMW X5 has no ‘sync’ button for dual-zone climate control.

They had to remove the gutters because Tesla employees’ morale kept falling into them.

What airplane model is that?

Such a pretty car though...

The bees were angry, and proceeded to engage in some cross pollination.

Sting planned to commemorate the incident with a memorial yodel, before realizing his name would make it really awkward.

No, that’s the whole point people have been trying to make — monitoring FSD is not driving, it’s monitoring. Monitoring automated systems (as opposed to just doing the task) is something humans are bad at — there’s decades of research demonstrating this, which makes the whole concept of ‘supervised FSD’ a bad idea.

I think they refer to it as ‘Full Self-Driving (Supervised)‘ these days. Which is a confusing, pointless name. My family car in the 90s had ‘full self-driving’ as long as my parents supervised (ie. drove) it...

Why is Elon Musk obsessed with the idea that humans are bad drivers? By all accounts, our driving abilities are remarkable and incredibly difficult to replicate. (Maybe *he’s* just a terrible driver, and he thinks “I’m a genius, so *obviously* no-one’s better at this than me...”)
