They can just have Oscar play both roles.
They can just have Oscar play both roles.
I get the anger...but I think it’s misplaced. The story the show is based on is a true one and the writer was truly doing her best to help people understand the transition since, from experience, it was difficult for her to deal with initially. As far as casting Tambor, well there aren’t a lot of trans actresses out…
well cis males “play” trans women irl so whats the bfd?
Though I support trans rights, I still feel like transition surgery and related costs isn’t something that necessarily needs to be provided as a god given right, and I’m not religious just using god given as a phrase. Maybe I don’t understand what trans related services are and they’re not the financial burden I’m…
Right...it is everyone else’s fault....not the person who screwed up and got sent to prison. No, no responsibility there.
I tend to agree. I think many guests are playing a character that is an exaggerated version of themselves. Wouldn’t consider anything said on the program to be a “confession”.
I’ve always been very conflicted about Howard Stern. While I appreciated that a lot of his schtick was a put on I was usually pretty uncomfortable with it (and attributed that discomfort to a slightly prudish element of my personality) But his interviews have really been a treasure trove of confessions of really bad…
As we all know George is very well known for his socially progressive views. It wouldn’t surprise me if conservatives used this oppurtunity to falsely accuse a high profile liberal, and a gay man at that.
I’m not particularly defending Woody Allen, but he doesn’t seem to be anywhere close the category of current revelations: there’s no doubt marrying your adoptive step-daughter is creepy as hell, but they’ve been married (seemingly happily) for decades now. While the accusation that he molested his daughter if true…
I am dead-set against coed spaces. Women have always used single-gender spaces to feel safe and get away from things bothering them. Gender-neutral is a bit different. I would hope that these stores offer a few options such as women’s only that welcome both trans women and non-binary folks, but exclude cis-gender men.
Where I live a few husbands/boyfriends go with their female partner into the dressing room. I feel really uncomfortable when they’re in there. I’m scared of men when I’m sequestered away and removing my clothes. I would like it if they had booths with doors like Old Navy or the Gap, but I don’t like the idea of men…
He didn’t look over the side, he literally looked over the curtain.
Assault, rape, theft, etc are illegal and yet still happen.
Yeah, woman objecting to be creeped upon by a male must be a “dipshit and a pearl-clutcher”.
I felt pretty traumatised after catching a man looking over the curtain of my changing room when I was 16-ish. He walked into the women’s changing room with his wife btw. I didn’t say anything because I was too shocked, but the lady working there asked him to leave shortly after.
Who thought that forcing teenage girls to change next to men is a good idea?
You must have been overjoyed to find a reason to deflect my point. Congrats on being the left’s Fox News: partisan entertainment masquerading as “news.”
Oh, sick burn. Way to deflect the conversation. They teach you that in “journalism school?”
Here’s the simple fact: The Washington Post did journalism the right way, and Jezebel did not.
I feel really bad for so many of my girlfriends, who feel that selling things from their home is the only way they can contribute financially to the household while raising children. As someone who spends more than $24K a year in daycare costs for two children (at the second cheapest option in the area, so not…
