LOL at the execution of this meme

Everyone. This happens constantly, and it’s particularly bad in hockey. It’s awful. The worst instance, though, is probably when FOX didn’t show the only pickoff to end a WS game in history because they were zooming in on people’s emotions in the stands.
If I’m not mistaken, playing anthems before sporting events started in WWII to double-down on nationalism. Not that it’s likely in the current climate, but a REALLY EASY way to de-politicize sports would be to not play a fucking national anthem before every event.
I have to disagree with you. Albert’s articles turned me from someone who only ever sauteed into a confident cook. I ascribe that specifically to his focus on methods and using your judgment, rather than adhering to a recipe which doesn’t instill any actual skill.

We set next to these diehard septuagenarians who made comments “under their breath” (very loudly) about how she “must…

EDIT: Tbc I’m talking about the side of tolerance, not of Muslims, because I’m not one.
I was at the Capitals-Wings game last week where a woman who had started her own hockey team in the UAE dropped the puck, hijab and all, as part of this promotion. I was seriously touched, and the crowd gave a great welcome.
