I disagree on the Gulf Livery. I want to see it on a Tesla. Just to get DinoJuice Lovers and Gretas of the worlds worked up.

$60k and 220 miles range. The Genesis GV60 is $60k and 250 miles range and that many are saying is going to be low volume. As much as I don’t want to say the T word, at that price not competitive. Lincoln should have a version of the Mach-E to compete with the Cadillac Lyric AWD at ~$63k with 300+ miles of range.
Lotus Evora 2+2. Bump the budget up from $35k to $40k and buy this one: https://www.bournes.com/used/Lotus/2013-Lotus-Evora-3b9c85500a0e09a836efb17e0e7b261c.htm
It is not a Porsche. It is like the Toybura in the sense the heart of this Lotus is a Toyota 2GR V6. And there is aftermarket support for Lotus vehicles…
I’ve heard so stories of GM, Ford, VW, Mitsubishi, Nissan, etc. having EVs that their dealership service centers can’t figure out for extended periods of time. Lucid, Rivian, and even Porsche have had similar issues, but they aim for a higher level of customer service compared to a Nissan Leaf, a Chevy Bolt, or a…
I am aware. But you cant also say other EVs would event exist as options today if it weren’t for Tesla. And as for other option, it doesn’t address the point I made about the Rapid Charging network. I see you will not support a grifter like Musk, but what EV are you or have you been driving? Which is the more…
I wonder how many people who buy Teslas car more about; The transition to sustainable energy care or Elon Musk. On one hand, for 20 years I’ve been hearing we need to do something about global warming NOW. On the other hand, so many of those same people now won’t buy a Tesla because of Elon. So what is really the more…
Fungus People more wrong than Gas decay. Yet Gas decay bugs us? And we are now citing JD Power? Do they make fungus ethanol beer for this conversation?
I am all for more 2door vehicles. I just don’t think 2door SUVs make sense when people are building less 2door trucks, 2door cars, and 2door hatches. The fact a 2door SUV survives the cut is what is bonkers.
I know its easy to point to Tesla. But honestly, 2 door SUVs. Such an oxymoron. The wrangler I gave a pass to. But now the Defender and Bronco both do it when 2dr pickups rarely exist.
As a former Philly resident the issue is the skinny ally ways. If a 05 xB is about 155" long, the Kia Soul at 165" might be too much, but is the correct answer.
They almost need a Tokyo Drift style redirect aka back-to-basics. I’m tired of shit just blowing up and stupid scenes that would almost never happen.
Based on his original comments, I’m getting the following vibes and I’m not mad:
A few criticism with the much loved Maverick:
1) There should be a $0 cost option for Vinyl instead of Fabric. It’s a truck, it should be utilitarian like a truck.
2) If a Prius can have a Hybrid and AWD, how does a truck not have that option. Limit the Payload/Towing, etc. But at least offer the configuration.
3) Maybe…
That is where they “start”. We’ve had a 2010 with over 300k and honestly I bet the engine ran for 150k of it when on the highway and cruise control is on the NJ Turnpike. And when they do fail, just like Tesla, so many HV Battery companies reman them for way less. This one is $2650 for a replacement: https://www.besthy…
Right Make and Model, wrong Trim on the Lexus RX. Get the RX450h AWD.
Something like this: https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=668502388 which was just reduced to $15k.
Do the Diverging Diamond Interchanges count? I’ve seen them in other states like WA. But DE had its first a few years back and they had this video posted about them:
To your point, I think one plug that works on Level 1, Level 2, and DC Rapid Charging helps access. Imagine today an ICE car had to have an adapter to use their vehicle designed for Exxon’s pumps at a Shell or BP station. This is very clumsy. I’ve seen so many rest stops along I-95 that have a Tesla SuperChargers,…
I disagree. Thermal management is the biggest challenge to maintaining higher amperage during rapid charging. So managing a batteries thermal properties is more crucial than capacity.
Congrats for writing an EV article while only mentioning the Tesla Roadster and Tesla Supercharging network. It proves there are more EV options than Tesla’s Model 3, Y, S, and X even though combined they are the majority of EVs.
I truly believe as Batteries improve, the need for large range vehicles goes down. Imagine…
