From my understanding, much of that has changed. The Rav4 Prime qualified for the $7500 Rebate in 2022. But in 2023, the battery sourcing requirements changed. Now dealers are trying to cancel the Rav4 Primes as the economics don’t make sense. Those that placed their order in 2022 will still qualify for the 2022 rules

Sounds like the Toyota Rav4 Prime Plug-in Hybrid with 42 miles of electric range might be the perfect choice, as its basically more wagon than SUV. It Starts at $42k. Otherwise, the Genesis G70 2.0T AWD starts at $41.5k and is a hard bargain to beat.

If 3 Rows were really about capacity, you would see more vehicles do what the 2023 Pilot does with its 2/3/3 seating and removable middle 2nd row seat to create access to the 3 seat 3rd row. This is Minivan level flexibility. Yet most 3rd rows are 2 seats only. I’ve never truly seen adults in the 3rd row, just people

There are plenty of other Red states that have agreed to this. Tennessee has with the GM/LG JV. Georgia has a new SKI plant that will provide batteries to VW’s Chattanooga plant. Oklahoma courted Tesla hard-core before Tesla settled on Texas. At that time it was still unknown if CATL or Panasonic would be Tesla’s 4680

So I get that the batteries are all in the floor. And for Aero purposes, they want to keep this Minivan as short as possible without skimping on interior height. But they still should have figured out how to fold the seats flat and have a deep trunk behind the rear wheels like every other minivan on the market. Hell

2010-2013 Acura MDX SH-AWDs. That Torque split around corners actually made this an engaging SUV to drive let along amazing in winter weather. It was pretty reliable, and could tow 5,000 pounds if necessary. If you find one with the Rear Entertainment, you even get rear heated seats. Something like this: https://www.au

Tesla (mostly Model 3/Y) are not Luxury unless Tech is the new Luxury, which just makes them Tech then. So I wouldn’t include them on any “Luxury” List same way I wouldn’t include a Cadillac ELR or Lexus HS250 just because it carries a badge sometimes affiliated with Luxury vehicles.

But I would say without a doubt,

This! Defining Luxury based on price point is stupid. An F-350 Lariat starts at $62.5k, King Ranch $77k, Platinum is $78k, and Limited is $98k. Are these Luxury since they are above $60k? How about the $48k F350 XL Regular Cab Vinyl Bench with the $12.5k Diesel Option for $60k? Is that still a Luxury vehicle since its

Sounds like another crack at the BMW i3 REX to me...

So the point of EVs is to reduce weight so that less batteries go further. Yet the IRS is using outdated GVWRs to determine what is a sedan vs a CUV/SUV, etc. Either make it Occupant Loan (ie 5 passenger = $55,000 cap, and 7+ passenger = $80,000 cap) or something more black and white. I don’t see how the VW ID4 RWD is

Did he pay extra for the Undercarriage cleaning?

If you were in an EV (w/ a Range Extender) why not go all the way. The Chevy Bolt EUV for under $30k after the IRS rebate of $7500 off.

Or if you need a Hybrid, the new Prius is available in AWD and is a looker shockingly. Lastly, used Model 3s are in the price range, but they are the new Camry’s. If you want

I agree. I get people need more space. But this is where GM releasing the a 9000 pound Hummer Truck and SUV as its entry in EVs after the Bolt shows we’ve learned nothing.

EVs are already heavy with a ton of batteries. For as much as I’m not a fan of Elon, Tesla employees have done some cool things making American cars

Any additional burden will punish the bottom disproportionate to the top. But, eliminating the complexity and grift/pork in taxes does more good then harm. No one is saying the poor should not receive assistance. I am still in a favor of UBI as it streamlines multiple agencies (food stamps, unemployment, social

1st: Tesla used cars are bound to drop. They have always been a discount based on the current new car price. With the IRA qualifying Tesla for rebates for 2023, we saw this first hand in Dec 2022 where Tesla offered the same $7500 rebate to buy now instead of waiting for 2023. I suspect used Tesla prices will drop the

A better Honda/Acura vehicle to learn on, the 2009-2014 Acura TL SH-AWD 6sp. These cars hold their value, forgiving, and not as much torque steer. Plus the torque vectoring AWD can also protect your ass if you get too overzealous at times.

As an owner of a 2003 Dakota Quad/Crew Cab Sport with the 5.9 V8 (350LbFt was nuts), AWD/4WD/RWD, 9.25" LSD Rear, Tow Package, and disc brakes all around ... I mean it was one of the best, most honest Mid-Size (not full-size, not compact) trucks PERIOD. Outside of the seats being crap, even in the upgrade leather

I think the Maverick proves what the Baja, Santa Cruz, and Gen1 Ridgeline got wrong... a Flat Bed matters. Something the Holden Ute even did not get right. (The Gen2 Ridgeline screwed up by putting a Pilot face on a Truck instead of the Passport face on.)

Ford can’t make enough Mavericks to keep up with demand... What

93 Toyota Tercel Coupe. 3sp. No ABS. The Tercel was so bad, Toyota decided to drop the name for its replacement, the Toyota Echo, which it replaced again for the Yaris.

I think it was left unsaid... but the “ain’t aint broke don’t fix” is in relation to get another Honda. Just wait for the 2023 Pilot. Or 2024 Kia EV9 if you want EV since you mentioned Rivian. Or a Telluride now if you don’t want to wait.
