All because ...why? My best guess
Not truly related, but I’ve always thought the line from AMG’s “B**** Better Have My Money” (no, not the eponymous Beyonce song, that’s a completely different song), “I ain’t a prostitute, but I’ll knock the boots” displays a huge amount of insecurity that anyone feels about sex work.
Man, I really loved the 2016 Doom and was very excited for Eternal. And when tearing through Doom Eternal I was having a blast at first.
Got one for you to add Ari.
It was a pretty good line. Probably one of my favourite of the game so far.
My wife and I loved what they did with this bit. It’s basically as if the creators knew they couldn’t do what they did before but knew they could still have a lot of fun with it without it being at the expense of a specific group of people. Instead it is a caberet show that asks you to get invested in the energy and…
FYI: played it more, got all the tools, and I take back everything I said: the game is an absolute blast and I am completely in love now. Particularly the fourth slayer gate: I honestly can’t remember the last time I had that much fun in a shooter. But holy hell, I also cannot remember the last time I was so exhausted…
Well part of what makes things fall into place is the progression and actually *getting* the whole kit. Some of the mechanics start out bordering on non-optional during the early levels because you have so few options, and it’s only once you actually start getting key components of your arsenal (especially the rocket…
I certainly think higher difficulty settings make things fall into place more. There’s way more incentive to use your kit to the fullest where that doesn’t always happen in the lower tiers.
I’m eager to play this on PC! Having faster weapon changing will probably feel like a godsend.
Currently playing through on Nightmare, and I still don’t know how I feel about this game. They obviously put a LOT of thought into every aspect of the design, and it shows, but something about it’s still not connecting with me.
Also: don’t be stingy with using your flamethrower or chainsaw, there’s plenty of ammo for them everywhere, and they will save your but if you’re down on ammo or health. You’re supposed to frequently use them.
I hated reading that people are afraid to talk because the community will attack them. Why does every community need to attack everyone? Why can’t we let people speak and if you don’t like what they are saying either ignore it or dispute it? Cancel culture really needs to stop.
Just when i think I’ve gotten to the end of the article...it keeps going...the scrolling lag alone is reason this article was wayyyy too long!
Games like Global Thermonuclear War? It’s all just fun and games until someone accidentally hooks the game server up to the tactical nukes CPU.
Yeah, that's what skynet wants you to think...
AI’s have cheated in the past, finding bugs and using those to score the most “AI Points”. This could easily mean doing things like finding ways to cause the player to crash, internet desync, or simply managing several aspects at super human speed.
I was indeed using ghoulish overemphasis for the sake of parody.
I mean, I think the core of what ever makes any good Superman story is “he has all this power, it’s miraculous he isn’t a monster, because that’s what would happen to most people. Lets explore that.” No great Superman story ever really has a threat to Superman himself. The threat is always to everyone around him, and…
Yep. After 5 years post-Master’s (and 10 straight in university), when the dean’s office told me I couldn’t register for more classes until I’d hit a specific milestone/checkpoint that I was nowhere close to (the “research” was nice, but wasn’t really fleshing out the new novel thing I needed for a dissertation), I…
I have a lot of experience with the PhD one. A little bit of data first from this article (8 years old, but the essentials haven’t changed):
