Carlos the Wonder Dog Again

I have a co-worker who owns the same house in Green Bay that Tobin Rote did.

Hiding behind potential NCAA rules is really lame.

People said the same thing 37 years ago when Duk Koo Kim was killed on national television.  So don’t count on it.

I am shocked that this is a posting from someone who is from a public university in South Carolina.

LOL.  Football cliche guy is here!

You are so very Glenn.

And though Nevils had been promised anonymity by human resources, Lack saying internally that the encounter had happened at Sochi limited the possibilities of complainants — and soon, everyone knew it was Nevils.

Apparently this guy has a history of writing letters to the editor with similar viewpoints.

This was all very predictable. Hyped up second-year quarterback who played well for a small time frame...a freshman head coach who has never been a candidate to be a head coach anywhere...off-season hype that was nowhere near deserved. (Really? The Super Bowl?)

With a spouse who works in higher education, we talked about this.  Kent’s decision was really dumb and motivated by an athletic program that values football above all else.  But it wasn’t a Title IX violation.

The good news is that someday he’ll end up conning the Vikings out of $84 million guaranteed.

This was pretty much always the case. The problem is that the internet has lowered the barriers to entry and siphoned away the customer base.  There was no way you could have done to SI 30 years ago what is being done today.

When I was in middle and high school back in the 80s, beating my brother to the mailbox on a Thursday afternoon was the greatest accomplishment of the day because that meant I was the first to read the SI. (And we had to have it done before dad came home.)

If I hit a home run in the NLDS, I certainly wouldn’t just stand there and watch it. I first would flip my bat to the moon THEN stand there and watch it.

My one share of Packer stock suggests otherwise buddy!

Falcons Ranked:

Marquette just started a plan where you can buy access to every game for $99.  If there is a seat available, you get the seat.  If it is a sold out game, you get standing room only.

This Brewer fan loves the guy. He started the year in AA, was put in this situation because Yelich got hurt, and beat out a veteran (albiet a journeyman) in Ben Gamel to win the everyday job.  Yeah it sucks but September was a ton of fun and he played a big role.  I just hope he bounces back.

Best season of his career isn’t really accurate.  He was certainly efficient that year, but Favre won three MVPs in a row from 1995-97.

Could it be that Brendan Rodgers is a better manager than people think and that his Liverpool end was more about what he lost (Suarez) than his actually managing ability?
