A coach bemoans the “distraction,” only to extend and amplify said distraction. Sounds good.

Bullshit. How about not extending the controversy by openly playing Jay-Z to “challenge” Stills?
The answer to this is really easy. This was a home game for the Raiders and they paid Mark Davis to do it.
This whole thing just reeks of a guy who thinks he knows how to be a head coach, but really isn’t much of a head coach. Shocking for a BB disciple I know...
There really isn’t a need. A regular ole flip phone would allow them to be reached and to text.
These are the comments that lead me to believe that humanity really isn’t all bad.
I’m serious when I ask this, but is he really THAT good???
That isn’t really what they mean by payroll tax, which is usually SS and Medicare. Witholding taxes are simply that.
I’ve worked with enough dog rescue places to know that most of the dogs that come out of these tracks are really fucked up. So while I hope people like Deb can find a new way through life, I have no sympathy that her old one is going away.
The coach isn’t the owner. The coach really shouldn’t even be an extension of the owner. The coach’s job is to get the best out of a player...and I don’t think this helps.
he’d slump her shoulders and mutter “Hey Jessica” in a Stupid Drew voice, and I would have no comeback.
Not only that, but he is wrong. The average age of a baseball manager is roughly the same, if not a little *older* in 2019 when compared to 1979 or 1989. I mean in 1979, Tony LaRussa was a MLB manager at the age of 34.
There are all sorts of teams from all sorts of countries that do the same thing. And soccer is well established in those places. There are “Arsenals” in Russia and Ukraine. There are “Wanderers” and “Uniteds” all across the globe. There are various “Reals” in countries without royalty. There’s even a team in Uruguay…
It has improved the game by disallowing goals that were initially ruled legit.
It’s the same as last week, when VAR disallowed a gorgeous Man City goal because it decided that Raheem Sterling’s shoulder was offside by a couple centimeters.
This just proves that Sanford >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Mumford
You really summarized this perfectly.
Deadspin: “This is the second worse tragedy to happen in soccer this weekend next to VAR stealing a goal from City.”
To be honest, he probably wouldn’t have minded getting that game over earlier as well. It’s just hard for the winning manager to say that.
I have had a very long day of training at work. This is the first comment on the first Deadspin article I read, and I’ve been laughing for five minutes.
